“O Allāh, I ask You by Your knowledge of the unseen and Your Power over all created things:

Let me live as long as according to Your knowledge being alive is better for me, and let me die when according to Your knowledge being dead is better for me. And I ask You to grant me fear of You in what is secret and in what is witnessed, and sincerity in speech, whether in pleasure or anger, and I ask You for bliss that never comes to an end, and for joy of the eye that is never disrupted, and I ask You to grant me contentment with what is decreed, and the pleasant coolness of life after death, and the delight of beholding Your Divine Countenance, and the longing for the meeting with You. And I seek refuge with You from harmful tribulations and trials (or temptations) which lead astray.

O Allāh, adorn us with the adornment of faith and make us rightly guided purveyors of guidance!”

The First Of Matters Revealed In The Qur’ān

Al-Hafidh Ibn Hajr Al-Asqalani [D. 852 A.H.] [رحمه الله] said:

❝The first of what was revealed from the Qur’ān was the call to Tawheed and glad tidings for the believers and the one who is obedient is granted Paradise, and the Disbeliever and sinner goes to the Hellfire when the souls were tranquil with this the rulings of the religion were revealed.❞
