If your child is learning the abacus, or you have always wanted to pick up mental math yourself, I built something for you.
It is called Aries AI. Browser-based, free to start, no install. It has four modes:
An interactive visual abacus you can manipulate with clicks.
2. Oral practice where the app speaks numbers aloud and you keep the running total in your head. The drill that competitive abacus students use, but on demand.
3. Formula lessons for the three families that make abacus mental math work: Big Friends formulas (digits that complete to 10), Small Friends formulas (digits that complete to 5), and Combination formulas. Most apps skip these entirely. Aries AI is built around them.
4. An AI tutor (OpenAI-powered) that re-explains formulas, generates custom practice at the difficulty you are stuck on, and quizzes you on specific operations.
Free to start. Paid plans for the deeper lessons, paid through Razorpay (UPI, cards, international).
