Re:Zero English Translations
Here’s a masterpost since some people are probably wondering about the current state of translations for all the Re:Zero adaptations. For reference, the anime covered Volumes 1-8 (which is the first 3 arcs of the story).
Light Novel: 8 volumes have released in japanese. There aren’t really any fan translations, and the ones that started haven’t made much progress. The official english translation for Volume 1 was released by Yen Press in July and covers the first 3 episodes of the anime. Vol. 2 releases in November and Vol. 3 in March, and those will cover episodes 4-11. The LN is probably the best adaptation but the releases will be really slow. It’s still a good idea to support them though!
Manga: first 3 arcs are available on KissManga (Vol 1, Vol 2, Vol 3). Volume 3 is ongoing with chapters still being published. Yen Press also officially released Volume 1 in english back in July.
Web Novel: this is where Re:Zero originally started and what the author continues to work on (currently in arc 6), almost like a rough draft for the LN. It’s 5x longer than the Harry Potter books combined and has much more detail and events. It’s all in japanese, although TranslationChicken is now doing english fan translations starting from where the anime left off. Keep in mind though that this is the longer, unrefined version of the story.
SPOILERS// Someone also posted a pastebin which summarizes arcs 2-5 (the anime covers arcs 1-3). It has a lot spoilers, so read at your own discretion! Arc 6 is also summarized here. The Re:Zero Wiki also has really good comprehensive summaries for arcs 1-6.
