rare aesthetic: you're listening to radiohead. the plane you're on is completely dark, illuminated only by phone lights and the dim orange overhead signs telling you to keep your seatbelt on. a baby is crying. has been crying for over half an hour. people in the plane are getting restless. they're talking, or trying to sleep, or glued to their screen. you can't contact anybody with airplane mode on. you've been circling in the air for hours trying to avoid a storm. fuel is low, so you'll have to land in another city to fuel up. after that, you may get lucky, and the storm may break. or maybe you'll be stranded in the air once more, lost in a pocket between time and space
