question for your miraculous Genesis AU because the ladybug and black cat are missing. How are they going to be paired to town after a fight and you know purify the Akuma and stuff
oh, what a wonderful question!
i've thought about it a bit before, and i can't fully answer your question yet without going down a completely different rabbit hole (thanks to everyone's favourite rooster).. then again, no matter what i do, this answer is gonna be long regardless.
so, here is what i am willing to provide currently:
「・」 The general answer
the power of the miraculous is only as limited as the owners of it are. this extends from general factors (age) to more individualistic reasons (self-perception) .. the miraculous have their powers based on different concepts, yet sometimes they have similar functions (e.g. "lucky charm" vs. "genesis")
and so, for this AU, their initial powers will be taken a bit further to make up for the missing miraculous.
they don't have anything as extreme as a "miracle cure," but they do have an extra thing or two. when it comes to cleanup post-akuma, they like to divide the work.
CapriKid -> Handling Deakumatization.
Rooster Bold -> returning Paris back to a neutral state.
Even with this system, Paris never truly goes "back to normal" -- but it gets really close each time..

For a short amount of time, CapriKid didn't have an answer to dealing with akumas, either - only being told that they "couldn't let them get away unpurified." so they would just.. kill them.
the issue with that, though, is that beyond the magic in the akuma, the akuma is still a butterfly. kill too many butterflies, and suddenly, the ecosystem is imbalanced. (so says Rooster Bold.)
the solution they came up with is that [deakumatization / "colour-dropping"] allows them to remove the negativity/affect of the akuma by wiping it off with their paintbrush!
when they do this, the butterfly gets purified; the original "negative" hue of the akuma stays with Caprikid to be repurposed for later. :D

.. and neither of us are ready to have a serious discussion about Rooster Bold, so we'll leave his portion off by saying "upgraded variant of sublimation" that allows him to:
restore damaged inorganic material to what it was before based off of what he remembers it is supposed to be.
and
restore the organic (people/etc.) to a natural state so long as both parties believe the claim of normality
are we good? good. for now until i feel prepared to touch on whatever can of worms i accidentally opened for RB, have these two pencil sketches of marc (and his fawning for nathaniel or whatever)
