"I heard about it," he murmured. "Probably a good thing I wasn't around, because I honestly can't say which side I would have been on. And even if I had picked a side, I can't guarantee that the other guy would have agreed. So, ugly as it was, it could have been worse."
"Alright," he said, noticing Steve's uneasiness. "The first thing you want to do is sit down with your legs crossed, your spine straight, and shoulders down." He demonstrated the proper position, then gestured for Steve to sit as well.
He sat looking uncomfortable as he tried to sit as instructed but looking stiff in the position. "Like this?" He looked to him, gesturing at all of himself. He blushed looking down and being all too aware that he looked ridiculous trying to be comfortable in this position.
"Relax your spine a bit more," Bruce advised, his voice low and mellow. "You want to find that perfect balance between relaxed and military attention. It can be hard at first, but I know you can get it."

"Hey, Dr.Banner?" Peter pops up out of seemingly nowhere (something he's unreasonably good at) and joins Bruce, hanging upside down beside him. "You....wanna grab a bite to eat or something? I-I thought maybe we could talk about this project I'm working on."
For a man as prone to reacting poorly to surprises as Bruce, the man tends to get lost in thought far too often. Such is the case when the young man suddenly appears. Bruce jumps in shock, nearly spilling his cup of tea. "Jeez, kid," he says after he's sure the other guy isn't going to make a surprise appearance,. "Don't sneak up on me like that." When Peter mentions his project, Bruce's interest is definitely piqued. "What sort of project is it?"
Anyone want to do a thing? Preferably a low brain power thing because I'm fried today

I just know that...he wanted to deploy us as employees of the government so that they made the calls and we sat on the fence when they said."
"I mean, you got me there," Bruce agreed. "Ross has hated me since long before I became the Hulk, and I never really liked him all that much. But when I think about how many people might still be alive if I had been sitting on the fence...it's hard to say after the fact. Let's just hope I never have to make that choice, okay?"
"Well, I still am in the belief that we shouldn't ever have to make the choice about when or who tells us to deploy. We have been working this long as a group, we know when to help others and when to step aside..."
"Okay, fair enough. Anyway, you were asking about ways to control your temper around Tony? I can teach you some meditation that's helped me before."

"Banner, how do you maintain a state of calm when Stark is poking and prodding and driving you nearly mad to the brink of aggravation? Is it simple, do you use breathing techniques? Because I have to tell you, I'm more quick to anger with him than you are and you have a notable condition and you do a better job of keeping it in check than I do my own temper..."
"Breathing techniques is part of it, yeah" Bruce agreed with a nod. "I also tend to just close my eyes and count to ten. Mostly, though, it's just long years of practice. You've seen the consequences when I let my anger get the better of me."
"Well you weren't around for the war that unleashed when Tony and I disagree but I tell you, it's about as pretty as the Hulk having a rage fest on Manhattan. "
