nicomulciberâ:
Mulciber wasnât a fool, he knew that he grated the girlâs nerves. However, he didnât care, because he figured he would be able to finagle it to his advantage somehow. Blue hues stare through her as she retorts with a slow maddening smirk. âWhat is the reason? Iâd thought youâd want to know what your father says about you when youâre not around.â Nicolas quipped keeping his terrible temper in close check at least for the time being. Â Now heâs wondering if perhaps he should have cornered her in Potions class and that would have been best for him. Make no mistake, when it came to the girl herself, he held little regard to her existence. Itâs just her connections were solid at Hogwarts, and perhaps he could somehow annoy Violet by proxy by using the girl in front of him.
âOh, nothing. Iâm just checking up on you. Itâs what a decent person would do.â A smug laugh leaves his lips, mentally noting the sarcasm that riddled each word that came out of her mouth. He was ready to half listen to her remarks, but instead he persisted with his appearance. Not taking any note to leave or turn away from her. âWeâll study potions together.â He spoke with little question to his tone.
She stiffened. Her father was a sore subject, something she was sure that nearly everyone knew. It was hard when so many of the students loved her father, and yet he never seemed to pay her any mind. If anything he was particularly hard on her. Something that had caused more than a few potions classes to turn sour. Even though she wanted to know what her father said, there was no telling if Mulciber was actually telling the truth. âWell you were wrong.â Ivy told him stiffly, not bothering to even look over at him as she looked at the work in front of her. Perhaps if she pretended like he was barely there he would get bored in leave.Â
Wishful thinking as he made it obvious he wasnât leaving. Or rather, made it obvious that he didnât exactly care how she was feeling in that moment. If he had then he wouldnât have even approached her. âNo thanks, Iâm good.â Even though she wasnât good, seeing how she was already failing the class. But that was her business and nobody elseâs.Â
