I saw that.Â
Oh, that sounds very interesting, please, tell me moreÂ
Not much more to say really.
Twirling a pen nervously between his finger, Oogie looked down at the letter in his hands before crumbling it up into a ball and tossing it to the side with the rest of his failed attempts to write to his parents. His doctor had suggested it and for some reason he had a desire to tell them everything. He wanted to write it all down and have the satisfaction of knowing that they knew he was okay…but as soon as he began to put word to paper every putrid memory flowed into his mind and blocked out any good will he had once before wished to share with his parents.Â
Oogie swayed side to side in the chair for a moment, leaning back on two wheels. He had kept to himself for a long time recently, avoiding everyone he had once come into contact with.
Ivy had been wandering the hallways, enjoying her quick high to the best of her abilities, for almost hours. Everything seemed to swirl around her, but not enough to make her dizzy. Twirling aimlessly, she watched as a crumpled piece of paper rolled to her feet. She picked it up and unfolded it, but was too intoxicated to decipher any of it. She looked towards its origin and saw Oogie, a burst of excitement suddenly appeared deep in her chest.Â
“I thought that you were dead, kid,” she smiled, sliding onto the desk where he sat, blocking his ability to write. Ruffling his hair with her hand, she smiled, taking the pen from him. “What are you trying to write anyways?”
No way, I’m not leaving this place if I have to stay in an asylum forever.
What got you in here anyways? That might be a factor.
Quit blowing holes in my ship. There’s gotta be some way, right?
They just transfer people. You leave here, get sent elsewhere.
I’m serious, Ivy. I wanna get out of this damn hellhole.
Not likely, not for any of us.
I’m..trying to stop.
We all are, baby.

Drugs.
Yeah…yeah. Just thinking more than I need to.
I have something that cures that.
Hey.
Hi. You alright?
How much?
Depends. How much do you need?
Oh.. That’s so sad.
Maybe she's fine. Clean even.
Are you selling? Mom died and I need to take the edge off.
Always am, baby girl.
I love stories. Where is she now?
I don't know. Dead maybe.
Sounds… intense.
It's just the usual.
