Ok it's pride month so here is a recommendation
Fucking watch team starkid musicals they are free on YouTube all uploaded there by the group
It's a musical theater group they mostly do comedy, some parodies (but like actually good ones their Aladdin parody is better then the original) and 2 thriller/horror musicals but they are still comedies so if you don't like scary stuff you can still watch them
The representation holy shit (I will try to not spoil anything) this will be long
The most representation is in firebringer with one of the main characters being bi and the other main character being unspecified wlw and a genderless?? Character I'm not sure they refer to it as "it" and also "she" and a woman has a crush on it. So a lot of gays there is like one straight couple there and they are also very cute. Also polygamy shown in a fun positive way.
A lot of their musicals have gay representation there is some in a very Potter musical
In the guy who didn't like musicals a daughter of one of the main characters has a girlfriend and it's not shown as anything weird or unusual or even important she just has a girlfriend. Also her dad doesn't ever mention anything about her being a girl he just doesn't like her because he thinks she has bad influence on his daughter. Also in this show there is a background nonbinary character (the cop played by Mariah)
About that - they mentioned that they don't really have trans characters (there is just the cop and another nb character that is just mentioned) because almost all of them (excluding Jim - nb) are cis and they would want the trans person to be played by a trans person. But um... How do I explain it... There is a character that is a dick that was cut off from a trans woman in the musical me and my dick. I never said the musicals were normal.
Anyway in black Friday that is connected to that musical a husband of a male character was supposed to be mentioned in a speech but they got rid of the speech sadly, so they just said that the character has a husband.
The trail to Oregon has a bi main villain in a mostly sexual relationship with his male sidekick who is in love with him.
Also in spies are forever (this one is by tin can bros a group connected to team starkid and sharing some members) there is a lot of gay shit
SPOILERS
The main character is gay and its an important part of the story basically the main plot point
SPOILERS END HERE
Another one by tin can bros was solve it squad with one character being a lesbian
And like their straight relationships are also great and have some bi energy
That's all the gay characters I can think of but the shows are all amazing
Also a lot of the members are LGBT (here I will just use the internet because I don't remember all)
Robert Manion (bi) Mariah Rose Faith (pan) Meredith Stepien (bi) Clark Baxtresser (bi) Diane - Lauren's dog (lesbian lol) Jim Povolo (nb) James Tolbert (gay) Nick Strauss (bi?) Brant Cox (gay) Estrella Fallick (trans woman but I think she's a writer so I didn't include her in the playing a trans character part) Corey Lubowich (unspecified? Robert just put him on a list of LGBT people idk)
So I just want to say 3 things
Watch this shit you will thank me
The starkid fandom is such a lovely group of people I love them all
And starkid is bi culture
