Today I woke up singing...

James Arthur - You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Loves You.

Not a fan of this song at all really. Haven't listened to the lyrics in depth (testament to the catchy chorus that I managed to wake up singing it) but the title alone puts me off.

Maybe there's a message in the song somewhere that's actually a good thing, but I'll probably never know.

I also don't like James Arthur, he'll go off the rails soon, if he hasn't already.

Muse - Supermassive Black Hole.

After finding the video for this post I decided to look up the word "supermassive" because until this moment I thought it was two words.

Turns out "supermassive" is actually a term for a certain type of black hole, not literally or necessarily a super massive one.

Kylie Minogue - Get Out Of My Way.

Great song to walk through a busy town listening to. Fast pace to walk to and motivates you to shove any slow-assess out of your way.

Has gotten me to work on time on more than one occasion.

Today I woke up singing... DJ Casper/Mr C the Slide Man - Cha-Cha Slide I always knew this song as being from DJ Casper, but YouTube suggests its actually Mr C the Slide Man. Perhaps he changed his name because he realised it sounded lame...couldn't tell you which came first though...

R.E.M. - It's The End Of The World

Hopefully waking up singing this isn't a bad omen.

This song achieves something that not many have done for me. It's super catchy, all the way through. And I know almost *none* of the words. The chorus is 14 words. The verses are about 10 bajillion words. And I still try to sing along.

Creepy video though.

Whitesnake - Here I Go Again

I have NO idea where this song came from this morning. Honestly no clue.

I also don't think I've ever hear the song before, had to listen to a good chunk of this video to see if I had the right one. The quiet intro threw me off! Must be the kind of song I only hear the chorus of in cheesy films...

Pitbull ft Ke$ha - Timber

The first time I heard this song I put it on repeat for a while. Really enjoyable.

I like most of Pitbull's singles. I found his album quite boring though.

Ke$ha on the other hand, has some rather boring singles but I think her album has some gems :)

But I do love this song.

Junior Senior - Move Your Feet

Love this song, and the video is really good too. 16bit animation before it was cool to do it again. Not to mention how catchy it is.

Meatloaf - Bat Out Of Hell

What a way to wake up. Jumping out of bed, kicking the day in the face. Take that, day!

Or just hit snooze.

Bastille - Of The Night

This is a really interesting song. I'm pretty sure it's a mix of two different songs, combined with original lyrics? Hell I don't know, but with his voice he could sing anything and I'd love it.

Boyzone - love me for a reason

I actually didn’t know the name of this song, I had g google some of the lyrics I woke up singing to find out what the track was.

Wish I’d wake up singing something cool every now and then.

Rebecca Ferguson - I Hope.

Rebecca Ferguson is awesome. Runner up on the UK X-factor one year. Very talented singer, and a voice that’s instantly recognisable. As opposed to the winner of the show that year who sounds like every other artist around and has done very little worth noting since.

Can’t help but feel she says “I hope” just a little too often, but it’s drilled its way into my brain. So job done :)

Thomas the tank engine. I assume this came into my head from seeing an episode of the “remastered” series a few days ago at my friends house.

Hard to believe this program is still going really, steam trains aren’t exactly a common thing these days.

Also it’s Thomas the Tank ENGINE, people, the word ENGINE is important! Stop leaving it off!

Jedward - Waterline.

Most of Jedwards songs irritate me, mostly because they are poor covers of songs I like. However I do like John and Edward as themselves. They are disliked by (for the sake of argument) almost everybody, and they simply don’t care. They enjoy themselves, act how they want to and don’t let others opinions ruin their day. I can respect that.

Also their performance on Eurovision was by far the most entertaining, who else had a fricking fountain in the middle of the stage?!?

Jason Derulo - in my head.

I really like Jason Derulo, I think he won some x-factor-type thing in America, right?

Practically every song he’s released as a single has been catchy as hell. Loving his latest single “Trumpets” right now.

Apparently his last name is actually “Desrouleaux” (which I bet is pronounced “Derulo”) but he’s simplified it for the audience.

The Cranberries - Zombie

I had no idea what this song in my head was, I don't even know the words. All I could master was a google search for "In Your Head Lyrics" and luckily this turned up!

(pro tip - adding "lyrics" to a google search of a song you don't know can really help!)

Adam Lambert - If I Had You

I have no idea who Adam Lambert is, or where he’s come from. About a year ago he turned up on Spotify radio for me and I've since listened to a bunch of stuff he’s done. I'm fairly sure I saw him on the Halloween episode of Pretty Little Liars too.

Also apparently he’s on Glee now, so there’s that…
