500 miles skated - D1 win won - Dynamic pose posed. We did good.
30 miles over the week end, 13.4 on Monday and 12 on Tuesday make 489.9!! That means only 10.1 to skate over here in Florida to hit 500 during playoffs weekend! Nearly there now, layover in Philly after this scenic morning flight over Cape Cod. Florida here we come! Keep sharing, keep supporting, you can donate at www.gofundme.com/ErMahGRD and you can watch us play this weekend in Jacksonville LIVE at WFTDA.tv
I have skated over 350 miles in the last month!
So 14.1 on Monday, 9.2 on Tuesday, and 11.1 on Wednesday on top of the 321 already skated makes 355.4 miles down, and only 144.6 left before I hit that first 500 mile benchmark! This means I’m right on track to hit 500 out in sunny florida :D The support we have received as a team has been incredible, so thank you everyone. I have learnt lots about the importance of letting bearings dry properly after skating through puddles, and how to skates over the bumps by pedestrian crossings, and I have had sore legs for 4 weeks, but it is all in solidarity with the heavy efforts the rest of glasgowrollerderby are putting in in the run up to playoffs - skating and training hard every day while I stand and point and blow my whistle! It’s less than 2 weeks now before we fly to Jacksonville for D1 Playoffs, and we are so excited! Please continue to help us in any way you can - share this post, spread the word around, and help us get to Florida! www.gofundme.com/ErMahGRD
+ 28.4 Training session miles + 6 x 3.9 mile commutes to work + 110 laps of the Bellahouston cycling track = 28.4 + 23.4 + 27.3 = 79.1 + 355.4 = 434.5!!!!! Four days til we fly, aiming for at least 10 miles/day! Reffing a bout on Saturday, and training on Sunday, so shouldn’t be a problem... :D

321 miles in!
No miles yesterday unfortunately, but 11.6 miles today means I am still on track to hit 480 by Florida and to finish off the first 500 over in the States. Just over two weeks til we leave for D1 Playoffs in Jacksonville, and we are training hard - ready to give it everything we’ve got! Help us get there, share the fundraiser: www.gofundme.com/ErMahGRD Donate if you can, and send me some support for skating over 1000 miles for this cause!!
This week I am flyering for the fringe in sunny Edinburgh! I tried to do it on skates but there are far too many stairs…!
Oh well, still another 6.7 miles today, on top of 53.1 so far this week, taking the total 219.1 miles!
Aiming to hit the halfway mark for the first 500 by Monday evening.
Keep sharing that fundraiser, and help us get to Jacksonville!
www.gofundme.com/ErMahGRD
Edinburgh travels have meant my skate time has been significantly reduced this week - but every little helps!
An average of 3.9 miles a morning for the last 7 days = 27.3
Plus 36 miles in training time
Plus 3 miles of lunch break laps
Plus and extra 24 from the weekend
Taking our grand total so far to 309.4 miles!
Still aiming to hit the 500 mile mark by the end of the tournament weekend.
Help us get there, spread the word, glasgowrollerderby need your support to get to Division 1 playoffs in Florida in three weeks’ time!

159.3 - Getting there!
16 miles since the last update takes that total up to nearly 160 miles, which is almost a third of the first 500 - definitely on track for getting most of those in before we jet off to Jacksonville! Another training day today, so there will certainly be more in this afternoon too!
We made it to ÂŁ1000
Amazing! We have hit our first goal of ÂŁ1000 and so I will be skating at least 1000 miles total - Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and shared so far! From this point onward every pound pledged will add another mile to the tally - up to the next goal figure of ÂŁ4034 - the number of miles between Glasgow and Jacksonville. The response to this fundraiser has been fantastic so far, and it's so exciting to know we have such a strong community behind us going into these playoffs. It's such an incredible opportunity for us as a league and we couldn't be doing it without everyone who supports us every day to be the most awesome derby league that we can be. You all rock! www.gofundme.com/ErMahGRD
This weekend I am kitten sitting in Glesga's own answer to the Sunshine State - the sun's even trying to make an appearance! I skated 6.2 miles this morning, but am now doing a bit of a cop out and getting the train to work, as I have a very physical day of construction ahead! 143.3 down, 356.7 remain! www.gofundme.com/ErMahGRD Guarantee another 500 miles if you tip us over the ÂŁ1000 mark!
Sorry for the lull!
I haven’t been able to get on here over the last few days but I have been racking up the miles! On Tuesday I skated 11 miles On Wednesday I skated 13.6 miles And today I skated 9.5 miles So… That’s 34.1 miles on top of the 103 already skated, taking us to 137.1 down and 362.9 to go before Jacksonville. AND It’s looking like there’ll be another 500 to do once we get back thanks to all the kind donations that are ramping up our fundraiser! www.gofundme.com/ErMahGRD
103 miles!
So I didn’t manage to skate at all yesterday, unfortunately, but I made up for it today by getting 9.3 miles in - taking the total so far to 103 miles! Smashing the 100 mile target for the end of last week, so let’s just pretend Monday is the last day of the weekend. (In my strange work schedule, it kind of is!) Training tonight but I wont be on skates as I have taken them apart to give them a clean and let them dry out after being battered by the scottish elements for the last week and a bit. So it won’t be until tomorrow that I embark on my journey into the treacherous waters of the second 100 miles... 397 miles to go! Keep sharing, liking, reblogging, etc. and donate if you can! www.gofundme.com/ErMahGRD Feminst Killjoy, Bench Manager - Skating 500 miles and maybe 500 more to raise fund to send Glasgow Roller Derby to WFTDA Playoffs in Jacksonville. Take the fund to over £1000 to double the distance!
They see me rollin' If you see me out and about getting the miles in, snap a photo and send it to me! This blog is getting awfully full of photos of my feet/the floor. Also, stay tuned for today's exciting mile update...!
9.1 miles yesterday - so close to 100!
3.9 miles to work, and 5.2 out to Mount Florida in the evening mean I only have to hustle a few miles in today to break the 100 mile mark! And Sunday is a training day, so it's looking like that milestone is well within sight :D Keep spreading the word, skating 500 miles and 500 more to send Glasgow Roller Derby to WFTDA D1 Playoffs in Jacksonville. www.gofundme.com/ErMahGRD
First sunny day of the “summer”
So lots of opportunity to get miles in, and also dry out my bearings - which are starting to get a bit sticky from all the puddle splashing! 14.4 miles today makes it 84.6 total Only 15.4 away from the 100 mile mark!
Hittin' up the fringe like nobody's business! Check me out :D
7.2 miles so far today, and now I'm on the train to Edinburgh to soak up the fringe and maybe get some miles in in another city! Speaking of the Fringe - The glasgowrollerderby B Team - The Maiden Grrders - are playing Auld Reekie Roller Girls' All Star Resrves this Saturday as part of the Festival programme, you should go! 70.2 miles down, lots and lots to go! Look how close we are to ÂŁ1000 too...! www.gofundme.com/ErMahGRD
