One week after the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park bombing in Lahore, the community is reclaiming what is theirs.
The design says, “Inteha Pasandi Ab Nahi” translating as “Extremism No More”.
“The design is meant to be a message of love, new beginnings and flowering hope. The patterns at the back are those I see in our buildings, in our places of worship, our cultural landmarks, and our houses across the country. We are capable of such love and beauty, and I hope this helps us remember this.” Original Post
Spelled out in Arabic calligraphy, the mural quotes: “If one wants to see the light of the sun, he must wipe his eyes.”

An impressive large staircase in a turn of the 20th century house made the circulation generous, light and airy, but its dominance compromised the entire layout. The challenge was to replace this once favoured staircase, enhancing this previous spacious quality whilst accommodating 5 bedrooms with two separate kitchens and livings /dinings.

located in the remote, mountainous area of china’s garze tibetan autonomous prefecture, larung gar is the largest buddhist settlement in the world, with 40,000 monks and nuns drawn to its larung wuming buddhist institute for study.
living in tightly packed wooden huts spreading over and up the hilly terrain, conditions for the village residents are basic, with the segregated monks and nuns sharing communal toilets, and huts left unheated throughout the harsh winter months.
established by an influential lama of the nyingma tradition some thirty years ago in a then uninhabited valley, the settlement quickly grew, attracting a mix a students from china, taiwan, singapore and malaysia.
the settlement welcomes everyone, including the tibetan buddhist nomads seen in several photos, with the monks and nuns living off donations and revenue from a guest house built for those who make the twenty hour coach ride from chengdu.

There are 4 things I learned when I was 25:
You do not have to be affectionate all the time to care for someone, in fact, caring can also mean a couple of texts or silence for a few days while you both live your lives happily and separately.
People do not care for you less when they’re busy with their own lives. It’s your reaction to them being their own person - and your ability to make yourself happy - that determines how they feel about you.
Not everyone reciprocates to your actions the same way. If you want someone to acknowledge, be interested in, or treat you a certain way for your efforts, all you have to do is let them know. They will try their personal best to accommodate that within their personal spectrum of feelings.
No one owes you 100% of them, not even after 30 years, because someone having a percentage of themselves is what keeps them sane at the end of the day and that’s okay.
Find someone who knows how to calm your storms.
