In the wayleska, when some people turn Bruce into something evil, Bruce usually becomes a strange version of Harley.

But the headcanon where Bruce is evil I see it in a different way.

It's been 10 years and Gotham has become a dark island which is completely dominated by kings, that's the way Bruce Wayne and Jeremiah Valeska call themselves.

Although Jeremiah and Bruce own most of the city, some other villains still have the power of certain territories, causing them all to be at war for more power.

Among those villains are Oswald and Ed who are fed up with fighting and prefer to make a deal with Jeremiah and Bruce.

So when Oswald and Ed meet with Jeremiah and Bruce to make the deal, Bruce is sitting in front of them almost as if he were the king of the city (technically he is). The good young man with a great sense of justice had disappeared to become a feared and intelligent psychopath.

On Bruce's lap was none other than Jeremiah Valeska, one of Gotham's most feared and dangerous criminals. Jeremiah's attention was completely on Bruce. In Gotham it was no secret that Jeremiah and Bruce were lovers but they were obviously not normal lovers. The two were obsessed with each other, having a love so sick that it was impossible to separate them. Without a doubt they are the kings of gotham

Sometimes I think about who was the person in the production of Gotham who chose or had the idea of Jeremiah falling in love with Bruce. I'm completely sure that person saw Hannibal series.

Jeremiah and Bruce

Have you ever wondered if Jerome hated Bruce because he looked a lot like Jeremiah? I mean, technically in the series it is never really explained why Jerome is so obsessed with Bruce and why he hates him so much.

I have always thought that Jeremiah and Bruce are quite similar, each being the counterpart of the other (something characteristic in the relationship between the Joker and Batman)

Bruce has a manipulative side that was shown on some occasions in the series; he is a weird and introverted person. He has a dark side which he tries to repress with all his strength, very similar to what Jeremiah did before the spray.

Two scenes that, for some reason, I find very similar are the ones where Jerome gives a knife to Jeremiah so he can attack him, and Jeremiah immediately does so, and the scene where Bruce imagines hitting Tommy Elliot's friend when he mocked him. These scenes show that both Bruce and Jeremiah tend to be violent.

The fact that Jeremiah and Bruce are like a mirror to each other would also explain why Jerome knew that Jeremiah would open the gift from Wayne Enterprises. Jerome knows Jeremiah very well and knows that he is narcissistic enough to end up "attracted" to someone so similar in personality and way of being.

Jerome hated Bruce for the simple reason that he reminded him too much of Jeremiah. Bruce, at first glance, is a calm sheep, but what Bruce represses is a great darkness and madness, just like Jeremiah.

That is why Jeremiah's great love and obsession for Bruce exist; there is no more narcissistic love than falling in love with yourself. This is the reason why Jeremiah wanted to corrupt Bruce from the beginning, because Jeremiah knew that Bruce would end up becoming like him.

Imagine: Bruce finally comes back after 10 years of training and visits Joker (or J? Eh they're the same anyway) after he threatens James with Barbara in ACE chemicals. Bruce's first question is how did he know Batman was actually Bruce himself at first glance

I mean, Jeremiah knows that the only person capable of putting on a bat suit and fighting crime in the streets is Bruce. It could also be that Ra's al Ghul revealed to Jeremiah what Bruce would become in the future, that is, the Dark Knight of Gotham.

I really appreciate that Harvey Dent didn't have an interaction with Bruce in the Gotham TV , since Harvey and Jeremiah would compete for the title of who is more infatuated with Bruce Wayne.

Sometimes I think it's very likely that in the final scene of 5x12, Bruce arrived much earlier to save James and waited for the perfect moment to attack Jeremiah. So, if that's the case, it means Bruce heard Jeremiah say that he is the only thing he has ever loved.

I will never get over the last episode of Gotham. Literally, Jeremiah spent years faking a catatonic state just because his number one motivation in life, Bruce Wayne, had left town. But, without a doubt, what destroys me most emotionally is the dialogue that Jeremiah says to James Gordon.

"Do you know how it feels to have the one, the only thing you love ripped away from you?"

The fact that at the end of the episode we have that very explicit line of Jeremiah confessing his love for Bruce is something really sad and beautiful.
