Ryan Bubnis’s “Slow & Steady” at Stephanie Chefas Projects.
Opening on Saturday, September 7th, 2019 at Stephanie Chefas Projects in Portland, Oregon is artist Ryan Bubnis’s solo exhibition, “Slow & Steady.”
“Slow & Steady” investigates themes of patience, progress, perseverance, vulnerability, and mindfulness. Inspired by DIY culture, Bubnis aims to create images that connect with viewers from every possible walk of life on a visceral level. The title of the show makes reference to the artist’s own methodology and unique visual language, which evolves and expands at a purposefully gradual pace. Presented alongside familiar graphics and icons is a measured variety of new shapes and forms. Employing a restrained palette, Bubnis allows himself to play, interpret and explore. He invites you to do the same.
The exhibition will be on view until October 5th, 2019.
