Sebek had never really fallen in love before. It wasn’t something he had in his plans. He just wanted to be a strong person, a royal guard, capable of protecting his loved ones and the wonderful Malleus Draconia.

But Lilia being Lilia had to go and tease Sebek, telling him how to win someone’s affections. Writing letters and putting picture of himself in every third letter, waiting till the 25th moon to sit at a bench in Briar Valley to finally say how he feels.

Sebek nodded, thanking Lilia for his wise and kind advice. Sure, he didn’t need it right now as he had no romantic feelings for anyone, but it might come in handy later…

Once Sebek started surrounding himself with the group of first years, you were the one to peak his interest. You were always gentle and kind. You sit at lunch with him, smiling as he spoke about his liege. You never said a word about his loudness, always making him feel like he could simply just be.

At first he just thought it was admiration, or simple tolerance, but the warmth that came with you couldn’t fit such simple categories. It had to be something more.

It startled him to feel that way. To finally have someone who could make him nervous and flustered. Someone that could rendered him into a puddle of softness and affection. And just like that Lilia’s so called advice was going to be put to use.

He started out with small letters just talking about anything he could think of. Then they slowly turned into letters about emotions he never really expressed to anyone before. They were beautiful letters of affection that always put a silly smile on your face. (You even kept all the photos of himself that he gave you safe and sound)

All the first years seemed to laugh at his way of trying to win you over but much to their dismay it worked. You loved how silly it was and you loved how much effort he had put in.

Though when you started dating he become as stiff as a board. He was a nervous wreck and he hated it. Why was it so much easier to express his emotions through letter??

That’s when Lilia came to truly help in. “Sebek the answer is simple. If your feelings cant be said through words then let it be shown through your actions!”

1. Notes

A small note appeared on the ramshackle door that read “Your smile is as radiant as the sun!! ~ Sebek Zigvolt”

You giggled, gently holding the note in your hands. Grim on the other hand looked at you in pure disgust. “You and Sebek have to be the weirdest couple I’ve ever met.”

You ruffled his fur, playfully rolling your eyes. “We’re the only couple you’ve met and I think his note is lovely.”

“Of course you do.”

2. Special flowers

“Y/N, I have a gift I’d like to give you,” Sebek gently voiced. He slowly uncovers a bundle of flowers. “They only grow in Briar Valley so I thought it important to give them to you.”

“They’re beautiful, Seb!!” You gave him a big squeeze and a gentle kiss on his forehead. “I love them and you.”

3. A dance

Sebek had been practicing dancing day and night with Malleus as his teacher. All so that he could dance with you. Something that was just meant for you and him to cherish.

It took him a little to finally gain the courage to ask you. “May I have this dance?”

“You may.”

The song was gentle and carried the feelings Sebek felt with you near. The only thing that mattered in that moment was you. He took in every smile, every gentle touch, and your warmth. He held you in his embrace just praying you knew how much he truly cared for you.

But his love was never something you could ever doubt.

A/N: FOR ALL MY SEBEK LOVERS RAHH!! This was based on the vignette from phantom bride and the song ‘that’s how you know’ from enchanted :) I had a sm fun writing this but if Sebek is ooc IM SORRY DONT COME FOR ME PLSS (╥﹏╥) it was my first time writing him so I’m a little nervousss

Hit with the idea that Faes have a sickness called "Fae Fever" where they're delirious and sick but also want to be around those they see as their family and loved ones 24/7. So Malleus, Lilia, and Sebek not wanted to let Silver out of their sights or they will seek him out to stay close to him.

Swing is the same way with Ramshackle and will not care if they're in class or in the middle of something, he snatches them up and walks away with them back to Ramshackle. This is the only way they will ever see a "docile" and quiet Swing, but they're also worried because this fever seems to be hitting him worst than the Dia-boys.

Thinking more on the Fae Fever idea and how it just hits Swing while everyone, but Skully, is at school. Skully goes to check on him because he hasn't seen Swing for hours, only to find him delirious in the bathroom before Skully gets snatched by him. Next is Yuu and Grim, who Swing just grabs and throws over his shoulder while they're walking to class with Ace and Deuce. Fellow and Gidel are next as they're cleaning up the courtyard only to be stolen away by Swing. Then, finally, is Rollo while he's in the library trying to study.

After everyone is Ramshackle, Swing just promptly passes out on the couch and he's out for roughly 80% of the week. He only snaps awake if someone walks out of Ramshackle or someone comes into the dorm.
