After months of not being to have these two out together we made some good progress this afternoon. They were kept busy with treats in different areas and not rewarded when they went to fight

After a consultation with a bird behaviour specialist we’ve made some changes.

Separated their cages, which is hard to do in our tiny apartment, but with no visitors we’re utilising the dining table.

Started training again; I was given some great tips that cleared up the major issues that made me give up every other time I’ve tried.

- big hurdles already made in two days. Zazu no longer bites hands if they’re in his reach. I’ve found a food that motivates Iago and he’s picking stuff up so quickly. Archimedes is becoming very social with me again.

A reduction in high sugar fruit. I honestly didn’t realise how little food they ate and gave them way too much sugar. The reduction in sugar has already reduced the amount of screatching.

Hopefully by the end of the year we can get it to the point where all three are out and not attacking each other.

Some brotherly TLC after yesterday’s ordeals.

As I get into my last 2 weeks of pregnancy the fights have been nasty. To combat this today I didn’t allow them to have outside cage time together, instead letting them out one by one. Iago and Archimedes were fine, Zazu, however, just wanted love. He would hang off both the other cages wanting love, Archimedes decided his toe was free game. We ended up at the emergency vet and there’s a chance he’d lose that toe. Hopefully it calms down once Bub is born, but I have no idea what to do. All my research comes up with dead ends and/or “this doesn’t happen”. If anyone has any experience here I would appreciate some tips!
