“It is something I want. Other than taking care of Kara in camp, I didn’t…get much of a chance to do this with all of you. And after that curse, I don’t want to miss anymore time, so, I’m willing to figure it out if you’ll let me.” Liv promised with a quiet sigh. Talking about her family was hard for her, but she wanted her kids to know where she had come form. “Well, if there is anything about any of them, or anything in general you want to know…just ask. I’ll tell you what I can.”

“I think I’m wiling to finally figure out what it’s like having a mom, and letting you be that. It’s just a matter of figuring out exactly what that means and making sure we’re both comfortable. I think a good place to start is telling me about yourself and how you grew up. I think it’d help a lot for me to understand where you come from.”

“How about we all just take care of each other instead? I’ve never been that great at this whole family thing, and in that camp I didn’t get much chance but I’m willing to try now. Well…if you ever want to know what he was like, or what the rest of our family was like for that matter, it’s okay to ask. It’s only fair you know what our family was like even if most of them are gone now.”

“I wouldn’t mind having a mom around if it’s what you really want to be involved with. I’d like to know more about the people I’m from, and I know they were important to you which means they’re important to me.”

“Hey, I would be thinking about Luke even if you hadn’t brought it up. I think about him everyday, even though I don’t talk about him. It’s okay, Jace. You don’t have to take care of me.”

“Yes I do, you’re my mom. I want to take care of you. If you ever want to talk about him though I always want to hear about him.”

“I know you didn’t, Jace, it’s okay. It happened a long time ago.”

“Still I should be better about not saying anything that might hurt you.”

“I actually meant my twin brother Luke, who…died a long time ago. But, no, Kai hasn’t ever listened to anyone.”

“Oh....sorry. I-it slips my mind. I didn’t mean anything by it I promise.”

Yeah, that’s a family thing. My brother never listened to a word I said, either.

“Your brother listened to anyone that isn’t his other half?”

“No I wouldn’t have. Listening was never my forte.”

When you take one. Adulthood is sucky that way.

Someone should have warned me about growing up.

When do adults get a break from work?

Well, it’s a good thing we have that eternity I was talking about.

We do have sixteen years to make up for which I am holding you to.

If I thought for even a moment my mom or your aunt wouldn’t absolutely kill me I would keep you all to myself for awhile.

I know, I missed you. And, well everyone obviously, but yeah.

But you missed me just a little bit more, right?

I’ve been good. Life was…pretty lonely before I got to come back here but it’s been good, I threw myself into a lot of work. How are you?

As insane as this town is life is lonely without being here. But I guess I didn’t have too many complaints just that there weren’t certain people around.
