Well hello there, I'm Maji Man, but we're on a first name basis, so you can just call me Jack

Today we're taking a break from the ridiculous content I normally make to talk about something that's very important to me, and might just be important to you too... fashion!

Whether you're a lover of all things Gucci, Lululemon or even just band shirts off of Amazon, this is the place to talk about it! So you can either submit an ask saying anything you like about any kind of fashion, tag me in something for us to have a little talk about, or even just ask me something fashion-related.

But first, some very important ground rules;

1: We mix subcultures here

Whether you're goth, emo, or a dad in khakis, everyone is welcome here. Ridiculing someone for their subculture or questioning/mocking their dedication to it is not cool at all.

2: Wealth class is irrelevant

If someone is poorer or richer than you, or wears cheaper or more expensive stuff than you, then you need to get over it. We're here to put our differences aside and talk about stuff we like, so classism is totally off the table

3: Historical fashion is welcome! But please be respectful

If we're having a discussion about fashion that comes from someone's heritage or culture, that isn't your cue to be racist or disrespectful towards them. Either enjoy it, or go bother someone else

4: Actually scratch that, ANY bigotry isn't allowed

Self-explanatory. I won't argue with you over whether or not "all of *x people* are *x insult* and deserve to die" is unacceptable. Instant block

Geriatric white men in suits drop their budget on releasing ridiculous Pokémon merchandise despite not even knowing what Pokémon is: A tragic story

2026 had such a good start for fashion. It was going so well. January through until about March was legendary. But for some reason, Target decided they weren't happy with that and decided to launch what feels like a direct attack on every Pokemon nerd alive.

Let's talk about these Pokemon x Target collab jackets that are coming out this summer.

First off... the immediate first impressions on the look.

Ignoring the fact that the badges are in the wrong order, or the fact that the Hoenn one looks like something you'd make a toddler wear to go on a hike, it just looks so... tacky. Like something I could find for three acorns and a kiss on Alibaba.

And... what is that colour combo? Is it means to be a Gold and Silver reference? Oh, and believe me, the suits who came up with this for sure have no clue what that reference even means. And trust me, these kinds of jackets are great for hiking, but not for $130.

Oh yeah. That's right. The price of these jackets is ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY DOLLARS. For a bastardization of every piece of Pokémon merch ever. To be sold in THE MIDDLE OF SUMMER. OH BROTHER, THIS COMPANY STINKS.

I'm running out of things to say. I barely have a post for you. There's so much potential for amazing Pokémon merch. They could've done a summer collection, at least. Who in the absolute shit is gonna wear this? Who's gonna buy this and then wait until winter? Wait, hold on, who's gonna buy it for 130 bucks???

Have I missed a trick here?? Are winter clothes trending for summer 2026?? I mean, we have Einstein here selling my stolen designs on leather jackets for summer, and now this. Just tacky winter wear taking the world by storm this summer, I guess.

Sure, there are some more acceptable parts of the collection that I'll show below that make a lot more sense, but its just these ugly ass jackets I can't get over

I mean, a lot of this stuff makes sense, right? Kind of? I don't wanna think about the price, what with the jackets being 130 actual full-sized dollars and all, even though it all comes from the same sweatshop, but....a summer collection... like, exclusively a summer collection... would have made so much more sense

Even just the hats and shirts for half the price I imagine they have them at would be passable as an idea conceived by someone under the age of 75. I will say though, the ball is kinda a cool idea. Not that I'd get one when I can find one of identical quality for half the price elsewhere.

I think its just another corporate poor-taste cash grab that'll flop like a Magikarp, but what do you think? Drop me a comment and we'll talk about it.

Holy schist does this make me mad. I already hate 99% of American Pokémon merch because of how ugly and genwunner it is all the time. The fact that we're finally getting gen 2 (and 3) merch that actually (technically) references their third versions and even have their badges, but look like that and cost that much is so fucking appalling.

Dude. Honestly. If they were, I dunno, $35, it'd be acceptable, even with the abysmal colour palette and incorrect badge order. But even so.

AND YEAH, THAT TOO, why is it always gen 1? Yes, I love gen 1, Fire Red is one of my favourite games, but why are we not appreciating all the amazing later-generation pokemon too? And its not like the fans don't like them either. To finally make some semblance of an attempt to branch out and appreciate other gens only to fall so completely flat is indefensible.

Its just such an awkward combo of 78 year old suits trying for a quick cash grab, and appealing to gen 1 elitists who think everything past the original Pokemon Red is garbage even though they haven't played any of them, and I don't know which is worse.

Needless to say, this one is a major flop and will definitely not make it into the jacks-fits wardrobe of fame.

So someone stole my custom clothing designs, but I don't care. Here's why;

Here's what happened. There's a local business in my area that sells alt fashion. Owner was a cool guy (or so I thought until today). So after being a customer for many years, I offered my services to help him do bospoke custom orders on all denim products for his other customers.

It was a no brainer. He'd be selling each denim item twice. He'd be selling countless things that people would use to customize their denim through the new service. Whenever he stocks denim, it flies off the shelves. So basically, it was a no brainer, and looking at the numbers, it'd be fair to say that this service on its own could have saved his shop because things aren't looking too good.

So last winter, I submit my portfolio. All the designs I'd done on my personal collection, and I waited.

You might think he grabbed this opportunity by the balls and swung from it, but what did he do instead? Well, I walk into the shop today, and this is what I see;

My fucking designs on leather jackets

Like... he didn't even try to make a smart choice. The exact placement, the exact patchwork, pretty much barebones copied. Now, did he at least follow the advice in my proposal and put it on denim since denim sells better year round than leather? Nope! He puts it on leather the week before summer. I counted how many he had, and he will make MAYBE a sixth of what I'd have made him with my idea. Maybe. I mean... leather? In summer? Really?

He didn't run this by me either, by the way. It just popped up one day.

Oh and did I mention that he's already selling them at a discount after not even a week? Because, yknow, its summer and they're made of leather. You can't make this shit up. We live in a dystopia of stupidity.

Just because a business is local doesn't mean its good.

I bought gothic shirts off of dodgy websites so you don't have to: A review

We've all seen em'. We've all gotten the ads. And we all say the same thing: These look shite. But are they?

In today's review, I talk about those polyester gothic shirts than we've all seen in ads. Are they any good? Do they tarnish after one wash? Let's find out;

I mean, I could end it there, really, but why stop now? I have so much to say.

Those familiar with my other blogs know I'm way into exercising: hence, I sweat a lot. And anyone will tell you that polyester isn't great for sweating in. But I really don't see the problem here.

Am I... missing something? I'm usually very sensitive to smells, especially on clothes. My oldest ones of these don't smell of anything at all, even after wearing them on walks all through the summer.

Oh yeah, that's another thing: They're great year round.

I pair them with 3/4 length shorts and converses in the summer, and jeans with heavy boots and a leather jacket in the winter. They look fantastic either way, any season, any reason, and I've gotten the compliments to prove it. I have never had so many strangers compliment my style than I have since I started wearing these shirts. Yeah, your crusty old bible-thumping mother may not like them, but generally, people do.

Oh yeah, and its also worth mentioning that they're great for both guys, girls and anything in between. Its really hard to find gothic fashion for guys that isn't either a t-shirt or full leather which isn't great for most of the year. So that's another plus.

They're even super comfy. Did not expect that from polyester. Some more than others, but even the ones that were a bit stiff fresh out of the package softened up after a few washes. They've become an integral part of my wardrobe.

Now let's rate them on the Maji Fashion Scale;

Comfort: 8/10

Style: 10/10

Versatility: 7/10

Lifespan: 10/10

Price point: 10/10

Giving this style of shirt a whopping 45/50!

Fashion trends for 2026: Sports Shirts!

Back when I was younger, I saw an American football player in an interview wearing just his team's shirt without the shoulder pads and though "damn, he's tiny for a football player" because I forgot that the pads were kinda a necessary element of the kit. Looks like now the look has caught on! Let's discuss the trend a bit;

Classification/word association: Sporty/comfy/lazy weekend/casual Gender association: Unisex Price range: Low/medium Pros: Mega comfy, easy to iron, hard to fade in the wash, goes with everything Cons: Currently being hijacked by some brands (not to a major extent), may not mesh well with other styles, subject to being hijacked by tacky, factory-line online stores

Oh. My. God. I have been absolutely crazy about football shirts lately. Like, I CANNOT stop obsessing over them. They're comfy as heck, fit me really well cuz I've gained a bit of muscle lately and half my wardrobe won't fit me, and they're so very varied in design, trust me, you'll like at least 1 or 2. I'm gonna show you some of my favourites, starting with the most expensive, moving down to the cheapest. Am I the only one who's super happy that cuffed ankles on joggers are coming back into fashion? They were the best in the 2000s, and they've held up wonderfully

Now this collection iiiiiss a little pricey, with the grey shirt being about $40 and the black and white one being about $85, so probably one more for the collectors, I hear the pre-sale is more, but its still a quality bit of kit. It gets the Maji Man seal of approval

2: Pull & Bear seem to really like pop culture

I'm not gonna lie, I'm not gonna pretend, this is my favourite collection for this trend, I'm wearing one of these as I type this. I'm not gonna speak, just look at some of my favourites in the collection so far

Whoever guesses which one of these I'm wearing right now in the comments gets a shoutout by the way

I mean, really, this is it. The very essence of this trend and what makes it great. It does everything right: It gets the material and sizing perfectly, and adds designs that apply far outside of just regular sports fans. I love it. The Guns N' Roses one made me literally go "OH MY" under my breath when I saw it. Instantly fell in love with it. As for the price, I'd say its pretty middle of the road, these average about $30-$40, and what you get depends on what your particular location has in stock, but you can also just order online, they do ship within the US as far as I'm aware, so keep that in mind if you don't have one nearby.

Anyways, its time to go even cheaper with the final entry on this fashion trend review with a shop that some of you may be familiar with, especially those of you from Germany;

3: New Yorker and their uncanny ability to make anything they put on a shirt look like an actual sports team

New Yorker is a German founded and owned brand which does a lot of street-fashion type stuff, so if that's your thing, I'd suggest checking them out anyway, but before I say anything else, I'm gonna show you some of the stuff that's already out, as well as some of the stuff that's coming soon;

The green one is already out in green, pink and black & pink, and the other two say "coming soon" on the website, so I'm looking forward to that. Honestly, its just your quintessential sports shirt, maybe you're going to a sports bar with some people and wanna look like you belong there, or maybe you're like me and just want something comfy to play Viva Pinata in, but either way, if you're enjoying this trend like I am, this is the place to go.

Not convinced? The prices here range from $20-30, so if you're on a bit of a budget and still wanna enjoy the trend, I'd highly suggest New Yorker. They have international shipping including to the US and UK, so keep that in mine, and definitely keep an eye on the sales too, cuz they have some very good sales.
