Here is the work by German artist Silke Schatz. The two photos although not relevant to folding architecture perfectly display an architectural drawing. ‘An architectural drawing or architect’s drawing is a technical drawing of a building (or building project) that falls within the definition of architecture’. These drawings are made to a specific set of conventions which allows architects to be able to get inside the structure and communicate ideas ad concepts. Again this was a piece of work I thought was most relevant as these drawings are not just of buildings but can be made for any form within architecture.

Here are some photos I took of my simple origami inspired ideas. The first images are of a table/chair set and a simple tent that I made just to get me started and build on my folding techniques. I decided to develop on the tent design by using some different folds and develop a more abstract version of a tent. It turned out to be more of a gazebo design which I believe if scaled up could be used as in outdoor space. A design like this could be used for a number of reasons but I believe it would work best along the lines of a shelter in a park or as a shelter for a restaurants outside eating area. The last images show a design with a cylindrical base with a pointed top. The top section is supported by only the back of the cylinder which allows it to hang over and allow access to the top of the cylinder. I really liked this design as I could see it being used as either a kiosk stand or for the top of a building. As the roof section is open it would let light enter the structure well whilst still providing shelter in adverse weather conditions. Bringing the two different shapes together gives it a unique and abstract look

Their is a paper clip in the bottom as I ripped the inside which meant the two sides couldn’t slot in together properly. If done again properly their would be no need for this

Here is the work of Yuken Teruya in which he creatively turns bags into works of art. Personally I believe this is one of the most relavent peices we found at the Saatchi Gallery as it is a perfect example of Origami/Kirigami.

These photos show the work of Zak Smith back in 2005, the piece itself is called 100 Girls and 100 Octopuses. Smith's work is very hard to ignore as he uses a multitude of different colours and shades co make his work pop out. With so much colour contrast and information being crammed within one drawing it makes it hard to ignore
