âYeah, I think I will never be good at taking care of babiesâŠ.Help me pleaseâ
âHeâs not gonna hurt you, he just likes to move.â
@jacksonw: iâm stealing this leather jacket
It had been two years since Gracelyn had step foot in the school. She glanced around, smiling to herself. âExcuse me, could you point me to room 308?âÂ
âI could but maybe I would rather hug you instead?â He chuckled turning around when he heard the familiar voice, she had told him she was coming back but been an ass about what day.Â
âI donât look at him like anything, I only see him as a friend.â She shook her head, wiping her eyes before any tears could actually roll down her cheeks. âAt risk of sounding really conceited, youâre gonna have an extremely lonely life if you turn away all friendships with guys that want me.â She stated before turning away from him and walking back over to the door. âMaybe you should just go.â Mona spoke facing the door, lifting her hand to push it open. âI donât want you here anymore, you can tell him to leave, too.â
âYouâre breaking up with me?â Â He asked staring at her back, hoping she wasnât, he couldnât help that he was easily jealous, and he really did love her.
Mona felt her face getting a bit warm, her breathing becoming more shallow, as she listened to him speaking. Her confused expression turned to one that described pain instead. âSo, basically what youâre saying is you donât trust me. You donât trust that something wonât happen between us, you donât trust my loyalty? I get that I donât exactly have the best track record when it comes to this, Iâve slept with pretty much every guy thatâs shown me attention like he has but⊠I wouldnât sleep with him. I wouldnât cheat on you. And it really does hurt that you think I would.â She only began to explain. âYou are the first and only friend that Iâve ever slept with and thereâs a reason for that. You never treated me like I was some object, like I was a toy to play with. You always were on my side, always defended me, made me feel like an actual person.â Mona didnât want to cry, she wasnât sure why her eyes were starting to sting since sheâd never actually been in this situation before. She literally felt like her heart was falling apart inside her chest. âI love you, Iâve always loved you. Iâve never been open to loving anyone else. Just because he has a thing for me doesnât mean that Iâm going to instantly jump into bed with him. I havenât thought about sleeping with him sinceâ sinceâ I donât even know, itâs been that long. Since I met him? I wouldnât cheat on you. I wish you would just trust me, why canât you trust me?â
âI never said-I never said you would cheat. I know you wouldnât cheat. You wouldnât end us like that.â He said clearing his throat hating to see her cry. âWhat I said was I dont like the way he looks at you or the way you look at him, it pisses me off, and I donât want to be friends with him. I canât, not knowing he could possibly consider wanting you.â
Mona hesitated a moment, really not understanding why. She shook her head, raising a brow, âbecause he likes me?â She questioned, refusing to leave him.
âThereâs something between you two I see it. Iâm not stupid.â He huffed, âAnd whenever I see him or you two together Iâm either reminded of it or see it, and it pisses me off. Because something is there and it isnât friendship so yes Iâm going to be mad because iâm positve he likes you and if you say he doesnât then you like him, but someone liikes someone and I canât take it.â
Mona laughed quietly when Coby spoke, putting him down on the ground to let him wander as he pleased before moving towards Jackson. âNo,â she shook her head. âI donât get it. Why are you so angry at Jonah, why do you get like this whenever heâs around, what has he done to you?â
âYou of all people should get why.â He said standing up glaring, âYou should be well aware as to why I donât like or trust him.â He said angrily, âSo just go out there hang with him okay, Iâm not in the mood.â
Mona huffed as Jackson began walking away, rolling her eyes and dropping her head back. She groaned as her eyes closed before mumbling, âI donât get why he has to be like this.â Looking at Jonah, she shrugged her shoulders. âYou two could be such great friends if heâd stop being so childish.â She stated before looking down at the smaller blond below her. A small smile appeared as she watched him walk after Jackson, âIâll be right back. Make yourself at home.â She instructed before walking after Coby, swooping him up into her arms, and following after his brother.Â
Jonah nodded as he watched them. He didnât understand why Jackson hated him so much. He didnât do anything to jax. He watched as they walked away. He paced in the room he remained in. âFuck.â He muttered.
Hearing the door open behind him right after he sat down, âWhat now? i stayed, happy.â He said clearly annoyed but all he heard was a small voice. âChilischâ He turned around in the chair to see Coby in Monaâs arm looking displeased with his arms crossed.
Of course she didnât want him to go and not come back, she didnât want things to end like that. âI donât know, Jackson, are we? Does your hatred for him overpower whatever you feel for me? Are you willing to throw away what we have just so you donât have to be in the same room as him? I just donât understand why you get so angry being around him. He hasnât done anything to you,â she stated, throwing her arm out towards Jonah. âI mean, Iâm not even like this when Sophia is around and you know how much I donât like her. I donât avoid you when sheâs around, I donât suspect that something is going on between you two when Iâm not around.â
Jonah looked between the two of them. He didnât want to be the cause of something bad. Jackson was just jealous but there was nothing to be jealous about. âIâm not a bad guy Jax.â
âFine!â He said annoyed before walking away, she wanted him to stay, heâll stay but heâs not going to be around them, she just didnât seem to get it. SHe didnât need to be jealous of Sophia because theyâre not that close, and he didnât use to sleep with people who showed her the slightest affection, so yes he wasnât okay with Jonah. As he waled way Coby once again unbuckled his stroller and walked to Mona and pulled her leg looking up at her. âI halp.â He said before turning to  toddling on after jackson.
âWhy canât you just be friends with him? Nothing is going to happen between us, Iâm not interested in him. Weâre just friends.â Though her feelings differed early, she didnât want him to go. In a last chance effort, she was going to give him a choice. âIf you leave, I donât want you coming back.â She tried to be confident in her words but a part of her knew that heâd end up walking out the front door no matter what she said.
Jonah looked between the too of them. âI should have just said I was Jesse.â he mumbled more to himself then anyone. âI didnât want to cause a rift here.â
âShut up.ââ he said to Jonah, feeling his head about to explode. He then walked towards Mona. âThatâs really what you want to offer me, me not coming back, you rather have me angry at the both of you. Or go and not come back.â He said with the annoyance clear in his voice. âAre we at this point?â
Mona scoffed, brows slowly furrowing. âYou donât have a reason to be threatened. Weâve known each other our entire conscious lives, you have been my best friend for years. Iâm honestly a bit offended that you think Iâd sleep with someone who wasnât you.â She explained, moving towards him. âHave we slept together, Jonah?â Mona asked, though her eyes remained on Jackson. âHave I offered or brought up sleeping with you or-or blowing you or anything since we first met?â She asked again, expecting his answer to be ânoâ.
âUm no.â he said looking at her. âAnd no.â he said. âIf you even took a second to listen in the halls Iâm apparently banging Sophia.â he joked. âAlso not true.â he explained. âNo need to be threatened, Iâm not into Mona like that. Sorry.â he said shrugging.
He was starting to get a headache, this entire situation was annoying, and he sighed in frustration as he ran his hand through his hair. âiâm going home.â
Oh, so now you want to leave?â She questioned, putting her hands on her hips. âAre you really that insecure that-that threatened by him that you canât even be around him?â
Jonah looked between the two. âDid I come at a bad timeâŠ?â he trailed off.
âNo i did.â He said more pissed at Mona, knowing he hated Jonah and still he was invited. âyou know what insecure, no, threatened yes, and donât act like I shouldnât be.â
Mona looked back over to him, confused. âNo?â She shook her head, following him over to the door but still keeping her distance. âI invited him after you invited yourself over.â She mumbled before standing on the tips of her toes to look over Jacksonâs shoulder at Jonah. âLet him in.â
Jojo smiled as the door opened. âOh hey Jax. I didnât know you wanted to hang out also. I brought over some great movies.â jonah smiled. âJonah walked in. âHey mona.â he smiled. âMy gay side said we should watch Mean girls.â he said knowing that sentence would appeal to Jackson.
â....I physically and mentally do not want to be here.â He said reaching the limit of things he could tolerate. âIâm more pissed off then I thought I would be coming here.â he rubbed his temples. âFine, you want your space mona, iâll give you your space.â
The thought of telling him about the times she and Jonah had fooled around that Jax didnât know about crossed her mind but she knew that would more than likely end their relationship. Just because she didnât want to be around him didnât mean she wanted out of their relationship so she kept her mouth shut about the topic. âSilly me for thinking youâd actually respect my wishes.â
Jonah had texted Mona to hang out. He had no idea what was going on. He slipped on fresh clothes as he was just previously in the shower. He drove his big blue chevy truck over to Monas. He got out and walked up and knocked on the door. âMona, your biff has arrived.â
Hearing his voice sent an anger through him. âSo this is why you didnât want me coming over.â Coby started climbing back into his stroller to buckle himself back in. Jackson went to the door and opened it seeing Jojo there, âAlways fun knowing youâre around.â
âI meant what I said, Jackson.â She mumbled before turning away from him.Â
âThen you would have said something to get me annoyed and not want to come. You know how I operate.â
Mona only let his arms wrap around her for a couple seconds before she began pulling away from him; bringing her hands up between him to separate their bodies. âWhy did you come here?â
âFor one, meaghan told me to talk to you because you were being a bitch for no reason, and two, you text me things like this and expect me not to come? You already knew it would have me running when you sent it.â
