JACOB ELORDI as BOBBY FALLS HE WENT THAT WAY (2023) dir. Jeffrey Darling
I absolutely agree with you there, and pets deserve the world! Obviously a biased opinion, though a true one all the same. I'm really happy the pets took to the girls right away as well, and I'd like to think it's because Lil and I have imparted the value of family onto the pets and they have that in mind! Plus it's adorable watching the pets chase after the girls, and of course we get plenty of picture opportunities with that as well. Yeah, I'd never thought of bringing home a store lobster for a pet until Lil suggested it, and we're just happy we've a content lobster that everyone loves! Have you thought about getting a turtle yourself? Because I'd absolutely recommend it! And I'm excited for when we'll get our mini-pig as well, especially when we've already started having an outdoor shelter built for it. You can come and meet Java anytime you'd like, mate, and he loved new people to impart wisdom on! We actually just got another kitten during the holiday season as well, so Java has another subject to pass wisdom onto. I don't know what you mean, since Layla's getting gold standard jokes for hearing both dad jokes and puns! She probably loves it. It's probably that same reaction as someone staring for a moment and then chuckling a little for that being both a corny joke yet also funny. Did you end up adopting a new pet? It's a good sign when she gets along with multiple animals and gives you some choices! That's the struggle of going to the shelter, seeing so many pets to adopt and knowing you can't take them all home! In that case, did you end up adopting both?! | @jacobne
pet's really do deserve the world -- they love without boundaries and love you flaws and all! they always say that it's best to raise pets and children together, right? that way they grow together, and that's what it sounds like is happening at your house. plus it's pretty obvious that you have set up an amazing environment for your pets since they love playing with your girls so much! and i can just imagine how adorable it is, i'm sure the girls love being chased by the pets as well, right? oh mate, if i had kids, i can promise you that i'd have so many photos of them with layla so i can understand why you likely take so many with your girls! i think that's the sweetest thing that you saved that lobster and now it's living it's best life, and i love that everyone loves the lobster too! i have thought about getting myself a turtle, they've always been cute animals to me and i've always been curious about the kind of setup i would need to have one! is turtle care easy? okay, but i love that you're getting a mini-pig too, mate, you're going to have a whole zoo before you know it and i love that! i'm already excited about getting to meet java because i feel like i could use some of his wisdom, plus i think i need to meet all your other pets as well. see you've got another kitten which just means i'm right that you'll have a zoo before you know it! you're right, she might love my dad jokes and puns -- and i suppose i have that same reaction from my mum or my sister when i tell those kinds of things as well, or i get a little eye roll from them, so i should be glad that layla can't roll her eyes, right? i did end up adopting a new pet, or i should say i ended up adopting two new pets because i couldn't leave either of them behind when it was obvious that layla loved them so much. it was hard not to take every single pet home though, because they all were looking at me with sad eyes! but i got a tabby cat named clapton, which is how layla got her name because i love eric clapton. and my new pup is a pitbull named dylan after bob dylan of course. they all cuddle together at night and go to sleep and it's the cutest thing, i'm pretty lucky! || @mackayhq
JACOB ELORDI Saturday Night Live - Jan. 20, 2024
“being on a break from tour — or, work — is a really nice thing; nice, but horrendously boring. i’ve been working out a lot, but i also just finished two television shows and started another one. at this rate, i’ll probably watch everythin’ there is on netflix before i get back on stage or on set. nonetheless, m’ keepin’ myself occupied. how’re you?”
@gonehollywoodstarters.
i've finally got a full break from work myself -- though i did break it a little so i could be the guest host on snl, but other then that i've been doing exactly what you've been doing. my question to you is, what tv shows did you finish, mate? because i've decided to re-watch some oldies but goodies in shameless and breaking bad. but i'm curious about what you've watched -- because maybe it'll be something i'd like as well before i have to go back to filming. plus i can't help but be curious when you're going to be back on stage, i've been meaning to catch you when you're on tour and i've not yet! as for how i am, i've been keeping myself occupied like you, really. i've been thinking i need to pick up a hobby, but i'm not sure what yet. || @hesfm
JACOB ELORDI SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE
I'll definitely let you know what I think of the film once I watch it! I've admittedly been a bit busy traveling around, although whenever I go back to Australia, that flight is a chunk of time I'll fill partially with your film. Absolutely, always the best to have a fellow Aussie on your side and looking out for you, and we can be that for each other! Nash is the best, my biased aside. He's just a really chill dog otherwise so it's extra cute when he gets enthusiastic about anything. Either that or he's telling me the song is a lullaby, so if that's ever a vibe on a future album, he'd be a good judge of it. I completely understand how easy it'd be to hole away and not worry about anything, especially now having my ultimate comfort house. It's far too easy to just stay there. Did you end up setting the buttons up for Layla? I hope she's starting to get the hang of using them to communicate, if so! I can completely understand the anxiety of suddenly having a lot of eyes on you too, and I guess it makes me feel a bit lucky mine isn't at that level of Euphoria knowing that had to be a little insane. So good on Layla for helping you through it all. I didn't have you listening to my music on my bingo card, and I appreciate that so much, that you like my songs. Creatively spilling's sort of always been my thing, I guess. I lived in LA for a little while and yeah, it's so difficult being that far away from family, especially in an otherworldly city like that. I think it only hit me when I went to spend time at home during a long break and realised I wasn't happy being so far away from them and decided to buy the place in Melbourne and design it for me. Do you ever think about leaving LA, or are you feeling more at home there with Layla, at least? And sort of. Writing them does help me release any issues to a great extent so I'm not completely bottling, it's just when I've dealt with something and end up casually mentioning it to friends or whatever after the fact, they're a bit like what the fuck, why didn't you tell me?! And I don't have a solid answer than not wanting to bother people with these things. Like you said, easier said than done. But thankfully my family knows how to get me to talk! My dad in particular always seems to know exactly what to say to get me to spill what's on my mind. | @jacobne
oh, you've been traveling around? have you gone anywhere interesting? i'd suggest you watch my other movie that's out right now as well -- but you might not look at me the same again after having you watch it, just saying. but you're sweet, mate, and i love that you're another aussie in my corner! and of course, i'll gladly be in your corner as well! hey, you should be biased when it comes to your fur children, right? because i think layla is the best as well. your nash sounds a lot like my layla though too because she's a pretty chill dog as well for the most part. i'm sorry, but having heard plenty of your music, i'm just picturing what kind of lullaby that you'd end up writing, and honestly, i'm here for it. that's great that you have your ultimate comfort house, i feel the same way about my place in la and it is just easy to stay in and not face the world. i did get her the buttons, and i've been teaching her how to use them and she's so smart, mate. she's good at telling me when she wants treats and to go outside with the buttons -- and to be fun, i got one that says bitch, and she calls me a bitch a lot and i swear she's smiling so i think it's our little joke. or i'm a little bitch in her eyes, i don't know, either way it makes me laugh. oh, so many eyes on me because of euphoria and because i didn't play a nice guy, everyone thought i was a toxic prick too. not to mention all the objectifying i was dealing with too, shit i wasn't really used to it because i just used to always be thought of as the tall goofy guy. but yeah, layla helps me with all of that and now i don't get so anxious when all eyes are on me. which is good, since i feel like i'm everywhere lately. really? your music is so good though! and off your new album, i love how to stay with you. i like the term creatively spilling's, especially when it you write your music. i understand what you mean about living in la and being away from your family, and you feel kind of alone a lot of the time, even though you've got friends, it's just not the same as family. so i understand why you ended up buying a place in melbourne -- and honestly, i've thought about doing the same thing in brisbane. i do feel a lot at home with layla, but sometimes i just really miss my mum and my sisters. i miss my dad too, but i'll admit i'm a mum's boy. that's good that you're not completely bottling, and i'm glad that you've got writing to help you with that. and i can understand your point and your friend's point, though i know all too well what you mean by not wanting to bother people with these things. it's easy to not want to burden people with your problems, right? that's good that your family knows how to get you to talk, and it sounds like your dad is a lot like my mum to me, she can get me to spill what's on my mind too. || @sivanhqs

That's wonderful that your sister's cat and Layla get along too, when I know it can be a toss up sometimes between those two pets. Even when they like each other, they act like enemies sometimes, though I guess which sibling relationship isn't like that, right? It's definitely something to keep in mind if you get a bigger place then, because you can't go wrong owning horses for how amazing they are. I hear you on that and it's the only reason I don't have any horses myself, though fortunately my brother does, so I just take my oldest daughter there whenever we want to be around some horses. See, another reason dogs are pure is keeping things like that to themselves, when they witness you do something like fall over a chair. Though did she try to help you out afterwards or just sort of stare? Mine hasn't started begging just yet despite her age, but I know it's coming. Though I just gave her a little sister, so maybe that'll keep her occupied for a while. I recently got a place in Cape Town near the beach, and we see seals there pretty often. I wouldn't be surprised if she popped up with that request. Koalas are cute though, I understand that and the anguish of having a parent stand in the way of your koala dreams. I feel like the next next best stop would be volunteering at a rescue. There's only one way to find out, putting on a Yellowstone marathon for the two of you. I'm laughing a little at golden retriever energy, though you know there's worse out there to have. That's awesome you got to spend the time off well, man. I spent the majority of it with my kid and hoping she wouldn't get sick of me and how much more I was around than normal. And of course, now most of it is dedicated to a certain newborn and also taking pictures of my two daughters together. So, I definitely can't complain about the time off, and I know it'll be a little rough going back to work. | @jacobne
i agree that even when they like each other they act like enemies -- and that's very sibling like energy. i love my sisters, but i know if i didn't mess with them constantly they'd think something was wrong! i've been thinking about getting a bigger place for a while now because i want more room for layla to run as well, you know? so we'll just add that and horses onto the list of reasons why i need to start looking for a ranch or something, right? that's cool that your older brother has horses, and i love that your oldest daughter is getting to be around them too -- does she ride yet? and right? though you would think with as long as i've had these long legs i'd be able to navigate them better, but nope, still clumsy as hell and falling over things like chairs. well, she did this mix of staring at me and then barking at me like she couldn't believe i was just lying on the floor for no reason. oh, i'm sure it's coming, all little kids go through that phase where they want a pet. though i'm laughing because my mum swears my sister stopped asking for a puppy when i was born and she treated me like i was her pet. so possibly something to look forward to! oh mate, cape town is gorgeous so don't mind me being a bit jealous that you've got a place there! but i love that you guys see seals a lot of the time there, and no doubt i can see why she'd want one because they're a giant sea puppy, right? oh i know, and not to mention koalas would be the perfect pet because all they do is sleep and eat, which is all i like to do as well so we'd get along just fine! there's a rescue in brisbine where i'm from and i'll admit that i've always thought it would be a fantastic idea, so maybe next time i go home i'll give it a go. a yellowstone marathon doesn't sound like a bad idea, especially since i can't get enough of that show and it's got me itching to become a cowboy. i can't help but have that golden retriever energy, and i don't mind so much that people think i'm just one giant ass puppy, like you said, there's worse out there to have! that's great that you got to spend the majority of your time off with your kid, and i'm sure she didn't get sick of you at all, she probably enjoyed having you around so much. i bet your two daughters are looking cute together too, does your oldest like her little sister already? and yeah man, i can imagine how hard it'll be to go back to work. are you filming something soon? or will you at least have a little more time with them? || @skarsgardhqs
Jacob Elordi as Felix Catton SALTBURN (2023) dir. Emerald Fennell
I'm sure it's pretty common, man. Or at least should be because they're part of the family too, right? That's what I think about dogs too, like they're really good at picking up on tone and our mood when we're saying things, even if they might not entirely understand what we're saying. And see, even more so with a dog trained to look for those kinds of issues to make sure she's keeping you at your best. They're so great that way and like I said, this is making me miss having a dog of my own. That's adorable that she gets excited whenever you are, like she wants to celebrate with you and the zoomies are the way to say congratulations on whatever it is. Don't tempt me, I'll end up taking you up on that and planning visits just to spend time with Layla. And you too, since you don't mind the guests. I've been traveling around a bit but next time we're both in LA, we'll have to make this happen. | @jacobne
that's exactly right because she is very much part of my family -- i never thought i'd treat a dog like a child, but i pretty much treat her like she's mine. i think sometimes that's why we don't deserve dogs because of how they pick up on our emotions and are just there for us -- they love us without prejudice and where else can you get that kind of love? but yeah, layla is a little more special because she's trained to pick up my cues of when i'm not at my best or when i'm spiraling. aw, i'm sorry that you're missing having a dog, mate, do you think you'll ever get one again? and right? i love when she gets as excited as i do -- and honestly, her zoomies are the cutest, so i can't help but be thrilled she's as happy as i am. hey, i'm always open to sharing layla with anyone because she loves new people so much, so she'd be all about you visiting just to spend time with her! especially if you're missing having a dog! and i never mind guests -- the more the merrier if you ask me! but yeah, next time you're in la for the long stretch or at least a little while you should swing by, mate. how's traveling been going for you though? been anywhere fun? now that i've got some time off from promo and filming, i'm thinking about a little travel myself! || @butlerhq
so, i thought today would be the day when i'd find enough courage in me to look at my spotify wrapped and come to terms just how much i have indeed procrastinated throughout the year. if that wasn't bad enough, my good friend told me about the pudding's hilarious a.i. that, apparently, judges your music taste depending on what music you listen to on the streaming services. i had a feeling it would cut me where it hurts, but i didn't expect it to be — and i quote — "folklore-evermore-boomer-relaxation-masters-in-creative-writing bad". granted... do i have all of taylor's versions on repeat as soon as they come out? yes. and i'm not going to hide it, haha. anyway, 'nough about me. what kind of dirt would i find in your yearly wrap? this is now an intervention. // @gonehollywoodstarters
since spotify is being a little bitch that a.i. never works for me -- but i have a feeling it would judge my musical tastes really harshly. i've got everything on there from poppy, bts, taylor swift, kevin gates, chris stapleton, and metallica. i'm not sure what that says about me -- other then the fact that i like pretty great music, right? and i don't blame you for having all of taylor's versions on repeat, you can't really go wrong with any of her music! i don't think you'd find a whole lot of dirt on my yearly wrap -- though i might admit that i listened to flyana boss - you wish way too often and that might show that. but in my defense, i just loved the part "hello christ, i'm about to sin again" and i'm not sure i need an intervention for that. but if i need one, i couldn't think of a better person than you to throw my intervention. i'll admit i'm a huge fan of yours! || @ghhozier
I can't even believe it's December already. I love all the Christmas feels and this time of year though. I finally had time to put up my tree the other day and it's the first holiday season with my cat. Let me tell you, keeping Apollo from playing with the ornaments or potentially knocking the tree over may as well be a part-time job. Only part-time because it's all good when he's sleeping. He's lucky being so cute that I can't even stay mad. Is this the orange cat behavior people be talking 'bout? I didn't get it before but I'm starting to now. ( @gonehollywoodstarters )
i'm still wrapping my mind around the fact that it's december and just a few days away from christmas -- but also not keen on the fact that it's almost the new year! i've had a couple of holiday seasons with my dog and if your apollo is anything like my layla he'll get better with the tree each year! because the first year layla was knocking them off the tree, drinking the water and taking her tail and just smacking the tree as hard as she could. but i worked with her, and now she doesn't even go near it and sometimes just sits and stares at it. i know cats and dogs are different, but hopefully next year apollo won't give you so much trouble! plus i love orange cat behavior -- my sister has a ginger and his antics are hilarious to me! || @chlobaileys
JACOB ELORDI Saltburn - Behind The Scenes
I still have to see the film to check this out for myself since I'm so slow to watch films on the whole, though I bet you're not giving yourself enough credit. And of course! If we don't watch out for each other, who will, am I right? Nash is a pretty enthusiastic dog so if something puts him to sleep, that says a lot, I feel like. It's safe to say I'm glad you're not a hermit, even if I can acknowledge how easy it'd be to just hole away with a dog and how cosy that life would be. If you end up getting some of those keys for dogs, just means you have to make a video of her using them once she gets the hang of it! Those just end up being way too cute. I'm happy that she helped you make it through to doing what you love to do though, and sounds like she's in for quite the holiday present as a thank you, or she should be! Yeah, that's absolutely important to have, the things and people around you that balance the weirdness and stress of the business sometimes. Otherwise, I feel like we'd all go nuts. I tend to write more than spill to Nash or anyone, I guess, but I'm also lucky to have loved ones around me who will poke at me a little if something's off and create that environment I can spill. Which makes me feel sort of bad sometimes since I'd love to be the type of person who just talks when he needs to. | @jacobne
you'll have to tell me what you think of the film when you check it out though -- and we'll see if i'm not giving myself enough credit or not! and that's very true, and it's always good to have a fellow aussie to talk to as well, right? nash already sounds like the best dog though because he's enthusiastic, i love dogs like that! but it makes sense that if he gets put to sleep, it does say a lot. oh, i'm pretty happy i'm not a hermit either because i'd be missing out on a lot of great things if i stayed locked up in my home! though glad you understand how easy it would be to hole away with a dog and just be cozy and not have to worry about asshole people, right? i've ordered some of those keys as a christmas present for layla, so as soon as she tries them out and gets the hang of them, i'll do some videos and send them your way, mate. i'm pretty happy she's helped me make it through doing what i love as well, because i'd have hated to quit, but was so close after all the euphoria hype. i just didn't know how to handle it, and now with her i get less stressed and anxious about things, she's the best present a guy can ask for! it make sense that you use your writing and songs to spill out your feelings, especially when you write such amazing songs as i've listened to a lot of them. and it's always great to have those loved ones around you who will poke at you, and especially amazing that they create an environment for you that you can spill. my parents and sisters are all still back home in australia, and since i've moved permanently to la, i don't have that which is another reason why i put all my issues on layla. but i can understand how sometimes it's easy to just let all the issues pile up before you feel comfortable enough to talk about them, which sounds like that's how you are, right? which i don't think is a bad thing, i think a lot of people wish they can talk about their issues when they need to, sometimes it's just easier said than done. || @sivanhqs
I sure am, since he seems like the type of dog who would enjoy surfing! I had a slight hitch in plans getting injured, but hoping I can make that happen soon enough. You're an avid surfer yourself, though? We'll have to hit the waves together sometime, love! Maybe then we can see if Layla has a secret talent for surfing too. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if she were turning over ever word since dogs are so perceptive. Plus wagging her tail is a good sign she's enjoying the content you're giving her! That sounds like the perfect day, just cuddling up on the couch to watch your favourite things. What do you two like to normally watch? Honestly, reading to Layla is nothing to be embarrassed about, especially when she's a sucker for a good story and it calms her into sleep at the end of the day. Perfect way to end it if you ask me. | @jacobne
that's pretty amazing -- and since i know you're no longer injured, i hope that means you'll be teaching him soon enough! i am an avid surfer though, i love hitting the waves and i'm all for us surfing together sometime, especially since i had so much fun snowboarding with you. which thank you again for inviting me, those slopes were pretty amazing! but yeah, i'm all for seeing if layla has a secret talent for surfing too -- i have a feeling she'll be better at me at it, since she is so good at everything else! i love when she wags her tail when i'm telling her something, especially when i'm rambling and pretty sure i'm talking nonsense because it makes me feel like someone understands me finally, you know? it pretty much is a perfect day and as soon as i got home from sweden, the first thing i did was cuddle her and watch her favorite show. normally we watch one show that she likes, which i know sounds silly, but she loves paw patrol. she focuses on the tv the whole show! but then we watch my favorites, which i'll say she binged stranger things with me over the last few weeks! and thank you for saying that reading to layla is nothing to be embarrassed about -- i know it's silly worrying about those things, because as long as it makes us both happy, right? that's all that matters. and i'll probably do that tonight since i felt awful for leaving her a whole weekend! || @bowerhqs
