My little babies, Jacob and Queenie🌸🌸🌸
I was so pleasantly surprised by such a thorough approach to the development of these characters( and they’re not even main ones!) , it’s one of the main reasons I can’t get enough of this movie! Beautiful pair with the kindest of hearts❤️
Is it just me or does the Jacob/Queenie nighttime rooftop scene bear so much resemblance to the Elephant Love Medley from Moulin Rouge?
I honestly can’t unsee Jacob belting out “WE SHOULD BE LOVERS”. God help me.
The ship name...
I'm a bit iffy on the name Jakweenie. Surely Jacqueenie would have flowed more? It's mainly because neither of their names have a K or W and it just looks weird IMO. Same reason why I prefer Harmione to Harmony (which I don't even ship). I know that as the author JKR has the right to choose ship names, but IMO Jacqueenie looks/sounds better. And it would probably be prounounced the same way too.
Queenie and Jacob by PatPaige
So this is Queenie's character profile page in the Fantastic Beasts character guide. Interesting that this book lists Gryffindor traits. Yes these things are true but the fact that she is loyal to her friends/family and is accepting and loving towards everyone (like how quickly she warmed up to Jacob) make me feel like she belongs in Hufflepuff (if she went to Hogwarts, that is). What do you think?
Am I the only one who hears Once Upon A Dream playing at the end of the movie?
When Queenie appears in Jacob's bakery, the way Jacob looks at her. It's as if they've met before, but he can't remember where or when. "I know you, I've walked with you once upon a dream..." And Queenie knows. Soon enough she'll tell him, when the time is right.
