Changes Ainât Changinâ Me || Timon&You (Open)

Timon shook her head. The guy was cute - eager, maybe, but cute. That would have to make up for his awkwardness, at least for her purposes. Or he could be gay. That would track - the guy she ends up talking to only caught her attention because it set off her gaydar. Time would tell.
And then he asked for a Cosmo. Yep. Definitely gay. Not that it was a bad thing, just meant she maybe wasnât getting laid tonight.
âNo, a Cosmo is fine. Would have told you if there were limits to what I was willing to buy. Besides, sometimes they give me a friends and family discount. At least, if Iâm lucky and the right person is bartending. Do you come in here often?â
She definitely didnât remember seeing him around, but that could be her fault and not his. If he was new, it was clearly her job to make him feel welcome.Â
Jacques blinked. Friends and family discount? That was convenient. And incredibly lucky for Jacques. He didnât have that much to spare on drinks, though he would have splurged a little anyway. Maybe not gone the cosmo route, but still. It was nice to see the kindness of a stranger.
âThank you very much. Youâre incredibly kind,â Jacques enthused, a big smile spread across his face. He was very happy that he had decided to come out to Pixieâs.Â
He shrugged his shoulders. âNot as much as I might like. I cannot afford drinks too often.â Jacques admitted this with no shame. It was no one elseâs fault but his own for not getting a steady job. He couldnât help himself. He wanted to help people without costs or benefits considered.
âI like the atmosphere though.â
