My favorite part of English is when we say we did "the shit out" of something. Did it have shit in it before? How did burning my finger get the shit out of it? Who knows! But I sure did burn the shit out of my finger.

It's been a while Tumblr! Sorry for not posting for a while, I won't give you excuses but basically I'm forgetful. I'm also now an art student! I figured I'd share with you one of my first assignments. I'm really proud of this one, I procrastinated on it a lot but it's one of the most complex backgrounds I've ever done and I think it really gives a sense of narrative. Which reminds me! This piece was made for a narrative image project, so I'm curious, what narrative do you personally get from this piece? There's no right or wrong here.

(5/5) A beautiful snowy rabbit with goggles!

That’s right, this is the end! I know I’m relatively new here but something I’ve done for a while is redraw this rabbit every December 17th that I can! Why do I do this? Why thanks for asking! That’s because the rabbit on the bottom left is the drawing that made me start to take in art as a hobby. It was originally for my Terraria gaming channel I had at the time, but after I drew it I was like “Wow! That was fun!” And I’ve been drawing ever since. This rabbit has kinda been a signifier for how much I’ve improved, and believe it or not, after 5 years of drawing, I feel like I’ve improved quite a bit. There’s been some ups and downs (don’t even ask about 2017…) but I’ve enjoyed drawing so far and I hope y’all will join me for year six!

Do I very much dislike working with charcoal? Yes. But I’ve been having to do so for my art class, and despite my animosity towards the process the results are actually pretty good. Hope you like it!

(4/5) A mysterious figure pops out from the hole.

Fun fact: I finished this about 9 hours ago, I’m just lazy and didn’t want to write a caption. As much as it may seem like I love talking, sometimes writing these is just as laborious as it is to read them lol. Anyways, originally this piece was going to just be of the hole with nothing in it, but I decided I’d hint towards what’s coming tomorrow… so I hope y’all like this one :)

(3/5) A dark alleyway in the city.

Despite how complex this one looks, the hardest part was trying to make the hole in the middle of the piece. I don’t know why but I can’t seem to make it actually convincing, let me know if you could tell it was a hole or not. Anyways I’m getting pretty excited, I worked one point perspective into this one and I can’t wait to work on the next piece. I don’t think I’ve ever actually finished a series and this one is looking promising so fingers crossed 🤞

No one responded but I figured I’d post some of my design class pieces anyways. Y’all get to see a few extra because they don’t fit the square format of Instagram. Anyways, despite all the fun I had with this class I nearly failed it! So that’s cool! It mostly had to do with me failing to turn in stuff rather than being bad at the assignments though. I hope y’all like these, they’re not my favorite as I’m not super into abstract stuff, but I still think they’re pretty nice!

I forgot to share this with y’all! A majority of my art has been for my college classes in the past couple months, and I had an assignment for creative writing to make a poem with a visual element. So I decided to do a angsty poem accompanied by a comic that’s about my experience as a… I probably shouldn’t say. All I’ll say is that my egg cracked around 4-5 years ago and now I’ve worn hoodies ever since. I’m not really a poet (always preferred prose myself) but I’m pretty proud of this one and I hope it resonates with y’all as well. <3

P.S. I was thinking about doing some of the pieces from my Design class, they’re a lot different from the other stuff I’ve posted though (a lot more abstract) so I’ll probably be putting them in just one post. Would y’all like to see those or no?

I made some pixel art of one of my oldest Original characters, I made her about 4 years ago and her name is Zephyra. Here’s a photo of one of my old drawings of her and her brother for reference:

I think I did pretty well with this pixel art practice, only things I would probably change is the shading, some of the dithering makes it really noisy and there’s a couple spots I noticed should have had shading. But it’s a learning opportunity I suppose!

I think the worst bit of design I’ve ever seen is when they turn your emoticons into emojis automatically; like, no, I don’t want 😊, I want :). Do you have any idea how different of emotions each one conveys and what it implies about me if I were to use one over the other? Stupid.

The worst part is then I have to make a derpy lookin one with a space between their eyes and mouth to avoid the auto detection system.

So I had this thing I did on Twitter that didn’t really get seen by anyone so I figured i might as well share it with y’all because I thought it was pretty funny and I don’t want to let all this writing go to waste…

Breaking News! In teh year of our lord, 2034, Disney has now copyrighted teh word “the”© making them teh official owners of all three articles in teh English language.

Experts say, “This is getting aye little ridiculous. What’s next? Pronouns? To be verbs? Teh entire English alphabet??!”

Update: Experts say: “We should have just shut up,” as Disney officially copyrights all three words in Lightning McQueens© iconic line “I am speed”© making them teh official owners of one of teh eight to be verbs in teh English language.

Teh only thing putting people in jail faster than over-policing is corporate greed; Disney has managed to find 20 drug rings and has arrested them not on teh charge of being in possession of illicit drugs but for using their copyrighted word “Speed”© as aye slang term.

When questioned, Disney’s lawyer had this to say: “Teh use of this word that has been copyrighted by our client as of 2 hours ago in order to sell amphetamines is ain obvious and willful use of our clients copyrighted material in order to make aye profit. Action must be taken.”
