( somehow, paw patrol playing in the background makes it that much worse. ) 

“okay, how — how do we know this is my fault?”  before matters can be made worse, artemis scoops lian up as she runs past, one arm wrapped around her tummy and the other covering her mouth. lian kicks her legs, squealing with giggles at this new game. “i mean, have you heard the shiiiii — the stuff that comes out of roy’s mouth?” 

               her eyes narrow as she gazes upon her sister,   quick to pass the blame on to the next person before she can face the   CONSEQUENCES.       jade would be proud,  if this was any other situation   ——    that was   exactly   the kind of ting she’d have done herself in this scenario.    hell,   she remembered the afternoons she’d spent with the blonde haired menace as children,   her own profanities slipping out  &&   her mother’s stern looks when they did.     oh,   how time flied.
