15th-biography

I myself is an exchanged sophomore coming from Shanxi Normal University majoring in Chinese,it's my great honor to take the course in National Taiwan Normal University .I like playing guzheng ,writing characters with Chinese calligraphy and reading art theories such as The Story of Art by Gombrich,The Path of Beauty by Li Zehou and so on.I tried my best to improve my abiliby to appriciate,longing to be a man understanding beauty with beauty

The reason why I signed up this class is based on that.Nearly everything in life is with beauty,waiting for people to discvoer.Art is connected with greater beauty,which needs more knowledge and paitience to learn and understand.

I could come back home soon~My hometown is Meizhou.It is located in the northeast of Guangdong Province with a total area of 16,000 square kilometers.It has a population of 5.14 million and there are 8 counties (cities) and districts under its jurisdiction. I'M Hakka.As you know ,a long time ago ,The Hakka's ancestors arrived Meizhou from central China to escape the battles ,and they built A round type of habitation call Weilongwu(圍龍屋),which could help them have the unity to defense Enemies It is an important carrier of hakka culture,carrying on the traditional spirit with hakka's wisdom in thousands of years habitation . Meizhou is the hometown of Marshal Ye Jianying, Lee Kuanyew, the former Prime Minister of Singapore,and many other intelligent people,so without doubt,it is the world's most representative Hakka community and the spiritual home of the Hakka in the world. And many fantastic places there wait for you to travel><

After explaining the meaning of thinking,I want to give two points to illustrate how credibly momentous thinking is .

First of all,Life lies not in living but in thinking.As the proverb said by Socrates,the Greek Philosopher :“The unexamined life is not worth living.，we needs independent and original thinking necessarily to improve ourselves,making life deserved.and only with thinking,could we change the word creatively ,unlike other animals eating and sleeping all day.so although human’s life is as feeble as a reed, , human beings are much higher than everything in the universe with thinking.

Secondly,world could not develop healthily without human beings’outstanding thinking.as you can see ,from renaissance to religious reform and to the enlightenment,every reform change the western world by more advanced thinking,while in eastern world, backward thinking about the imperial court prevented the qing dynasty from moving forward .so without doubt,thinking is like a compass,leading us to find the lighthouse,and guiding us to make the word better and better.

All in all,in the world, there is nothing great but man. in the man there is nothing great but thinking.Our greatest glory consists not in living but in thinking.so try to think automatically and frequently.the more ,the better,and the world wil reach its numinous summit.

When it comes to the topic,it occurs to me that thinking, is the very word that has changed the world.

Maybe this word will firstly remind you of the thinker,a bronze sculpture made by Auguste Rodin from the symbol ,apparently we could learn that thought is a mental activity which allows human beings to make sense of things in the world ,and to represent and interpret them in ways that are significant ,or which accord with their needs.

And that is why Bonaparte Napoleon ,the French emperor would win will and never say “impossible”with making up his mind ,why Marcus Aurelius the joint 16th Emperor of the Roman Empire,would write down The Meditations to improve himself.and why human beings could successfully finish Industrial revolutions with steam,electric power,and technology by thinking.

2017.6.12. Oliver twist >< Jude the Obscure

In my perspective,two novels have some similarities that they both indicated the tragedy of life,but they also told us that on the road of heading to ideal destination,we should keep on and never give up although we always meet various setbacks. Oliver twist,a vivid novel written by Charles Dickens,described a story about an orphan,Oliver.I felt a surge of sympathy for his unfortunate suffering,but after I read the all, I was deeply moved by his kind-hearted and pure personality.As you know,only with the shiny personality,could he finally gain help and find out his own lot. As for Jude the Obscure,written by Hardy,also told us a story about an orphan, Jude.He was credibly diligent and positive,but he didn't fulfill his dream of becoming a college school student for many objective reasons. And besides,he met religious and philosophical questions because of the unhappy marriage.But all in all,what deeply moved me is that he tried his best to get a better life. Although life is tragedy,we could be a better one.

Chinese painting , an ancient art form with more than 6,000 years of history, is hailed as the great treasure of the Chinese culture.With the use of the Chinese writing brush and Chinese paper,it can be divided into two categories: the xieyi（寫意） school and the gongbi（工筆） school.The former is marked by exaggerated forms and freehand brush work,while the latter is characterized by close attention to detail and fine brush work,but both have familiar subjects ,such as landscapes,figures and birds and flowers.By the means of expression,Chinese painters show their personalities and the unique philosophy,which particularly makes Chinese painting more than art.Moreover,as you can see, the most important philosophic belief, "the Unity of Heaven, Earth and Human Beings"is emerged ,promoting the traditional spirit to enrich our spiritual life.Nowadays,Chinese painting borrows techniques from Western painting ,and meanwhile,it represents the eternal charm of the broad and profound Chinese and Han national culture,making the world get close to the eastern civilization.All in all,learn it ,enjoy it ,and it's no doubt that you will fall in love with it .

This semester I have written three essays in the Chinese classical style~！(*￣︶￣)It's great fruit of harvest for me.(ノ￣▽￣)~As you know,it's credibly difficult to write in that style,especially to write well.But aaaaaaaas you can see,all three essays were received Mr Yan's encouragement and praise~and after class he told me that the art of traditional essays is extensive and profound,waiting for us to have a more closer reading,and only with the patience and diligence,could people touch the warmth and feelings in the words. It's great honor for me that I could have a chance to learn to write traditional essays following with Mr.Yan,and I'm longing for more…… Thanks for all the chance,Thanks for all sceneries I have enjoyed in Taiwan in this term,and I believe tomorrow everything will be better,and I could still have many lucky chance to meet my friends and nice teachers here…… o(TωT)o

ESP Workshop

2017.6.1 Today I got a great chance to take part in ESP Workshop.At the end of meeting,I'm too nervous to share my feelings about my class when standing before many teachers.How pity it is.after it,I try to write down sth.,for it's my great honor that I could take the course.

***** I felt so lucky that I could take the course by teacher Dora,she is credibly a nice teacher.Her curriculum design of art english is vivid and colorful,giving us great chances to experience the charm of the art .For example.we could enhance our ability to appreciate through presentations and the feedback given by Dora.Among the presentations,techer dora will insert sth. funny like How To listen the Color.Besides,we also have communications in tumblr after class,watch movies like the Danish girl and enjoy folk artist's speech in free time.,helping us to open our eyes to find beauty.Moreover,many useful learning resources are provided in Moodle.And through the point,we get cloesr to English.It's a bridge ,not the tool used to get good grades. Thanks Dora,she taught us that not only art is everywhere,but aslo let us feel everyone of us is unique art. Try to enjoy life,enjoy art,and enjoy English——I think this is my largest harvest.

Long sentences' practice

At the end of the semester,my Chinese partners are overwhelmed to prepare for the Band Six Test.It occurs to me that I have practiced much exercise for this test.Now I wrote sth. about setback in the test’s “ long sentence ” way to challenge myself again and encourage my friends to successfully pass that test.

Nowadays, on the road of heading to ideal destination,everyone especially the adolescents，will meet verious setbacks in learing or life bacause of lack of the strength of mental ability.Some say setbacks,always giving us derpression and sadness in the way, is credibly bad,arguing that time and mental energy are wasted to triumph over them,and even worse,the sensitive chilren will feel being underdogs,letting down themselves spiritually.But facing the influence of setback in the round I think it is more helpful in adolescent development,for it not only encourages the young to practice their skills and ability and work on their weak points,but also contributes to the brave optimistic shape of their personal character,which benefits the adolescent adaptation of real and competitive society in the future.All in all,We can learn from our failure no matter how fiercely it strikes our advancing ship,and only with the impact towards life, could we position and develop ourselves properly and effectively,which help us be a courageous and diligent one.We should treat setbacks as the stepping stones,helping us to reach the destination,and moreover,if we keep reminding ourseself of where we are heading,wo will no longer see them as setbacks but opportunities for the brave,jusk like the saying goes:obstacles are things a person sees when he takes his eyes off his goal

On this comfortable afternoon,We had a nice presentation in art from a postgraduate.He tried to share some basic knowledge with us through the clue about Marquise de Pompadour.And with the example about noble lady,the upperclassman told us that art is everywhere ,and recommended some useful resource such as Lourvre,the Metropolitan Museum of Art and so on.In the next section,he combined his own paper topic with the presentation.As for me,I was more interested in the first section.I was so curious about how the Chiaroscuro developed since the Renaissance,and the connection between the cultural signal and art.So I want to read The Eiffel Tower by Roland Barthes to find more about them.

2017.4.14.2 Before the midterm test,to enjoy The Danish Girl was relaxing but thinkable.I don't think Eddie belongs to the homosexual group,and also,it was improper to define him as a person with the illness of cross-dressing. He was actually a man who purely wanted to be a woman.Because of the god's joke,he had to endure and challenge the tradition of the gender cognition.I was deeply moved by his courage and his wife's love.I feel like "the Danish girl "was really referring to Gerda! She really carried the film until the end. What's more.As you know nowadays the vivid and colorful culture holds the inclusive spirit,and the tragedy like Eddie 's will gradually disappear ,and there will be more support for transgender people.But it makes me really confused.What should be right?What is the belief we need to hold on ?It occurs to me that there's a saying that Nietz once said:"God died." I knew we need to accept more and respect them, but maybe there must be something we must to continue.What is that?Maybe once learn more, I will finally get it .

2017.3.29 w3 I’m so lucky that I could have the nice experience in the Mayday’s 20th birthday in the No.7 Park.There have been 8 years since the first time that I enjoyed Mayday’s music.It occurs to me that the first song I fall in love with was 倔強。This powerful song encouraged me to stick to pursuing my dreams,and every time I got depressive,May day’s music always accompanied me to face up with difficulties. Of course I gradually ignored their new songs,and was attracted by many other artists ,but May Day is still at the bottom of my heart. Every song have my story,and it is called youth.

Time goes by,and youth always shines.

I 'm sure I have fallen in love with the bookstores in Taipei.

These days I often hand out in the neighborhood, preparing for a unplanned date with the bookstores,and you can find them from the rough draft~XD

They are like the lighthouse,shining in the dark nights and even our heart.When entering into the stores with diverse art,you will calm down ,and there will be some shape of beauty moves away the pall from dark spirits in spite of many bags and difficulties in life

.Among them,my favorite is the independent book shops and the old second-hand bookstores.For the former,they represent the well being of the city with art,indicating beauty more than books.As for the latter,in my eyes,they are Taipei's soul .Books themselves are artworks,Although with brick and mortar designs,the varied books are the store's crown jewels.

I hope I could record all bookstores in Taipei,and there will be a day I have my own bookstore.

I have been in Taiwan for nearly a month.Sometimes ,especially on the rainy nights,I really missed my partners in Xian although there was a rich and colorful life here.They told me that it still snowed ,and it occured to me that how spectacular the snowscape was in my college shcool. So I collect some photos caught in SNNU(Shanxi Normal University),hoping that they could help me record great moments.Maybe you will be attached to SNNU,too.

Artist Neil Harbisson was born completely color blind, but these days a device attached to his head turns color into audible frequencies. Instead of seeing a world in grayscale, Harbisson can hear a symphony of color -- and yes, even listen to faces and paintings.

In this video,the artist Nell Harbisson ,creatively attempted to use a technical device to remedy the weakness of color blindness.

After watching it,I am so curious about how the creepy device technically works and what the real feelings the cyborg will get in the process of colors'change!Could the synaesthesias creat the same stimulating effect in the mind?If so,maybe all of us could extend our senses to have a pecfect life in the future,instead of inconvenience coming from the sense disablity.

Moreover,that inspires me to catch the shining points of art in life more sensitively.Maybe you will find the New World with a new view.Imaginge that we smell or hear Van Gogh .
