He scratched compulsively over the small invisible marks in the crook of his arm, and swore heavily under his breath. He could usually tell when he’d had too much, but it was just as usually far too late to do anything about it but to live though the suffering. The jitters set in, and now he trembled, but sat back in the old abandoned building he’d been hanging out in, and tried to remember to take deep, slow breaths. It was going to be a long night....
