Finally updating this blog! I’ve jump-started my food-drawing habits, so I’ll be posting my studies as regularly as possible.

Hey. It's been a while.
So many things to update y'all about, but here are my first set of hourlies, ever. Super happy that I finally got to participate this year!
I'm kicking my own butt and drawing for myself again. I want to update tumblr with more stuff, and actually start completing all the concepts I have in my sketchbook! So I'm diving into the deep end with some personal work. I always imagine that I'll have deep, insightful things to say in the description box, but I always end up cropping it into oblivion. So I'll save the explanation for the end. I had enough of a mental struggle deciding whether or not I should hold up on posting until the other drawings are done. This is a series, with probably two more illustrations coming up (may or may not include more, but baby steps). Woo!
P.S. Oh my gob, so many patterns.
It's been far too long since I last posted. So, here's a doodle of my beloved parakeets! Potato (yes, I named him after a tuber) is a curmudgeonly fat guy who fears/hates everything, while Noodle is a friendly, chatty baby of questionable gender (I'm leaning towards male). They're getting along famously.
Something quick for this song!
Some texture studies that I've been doing as warm-ups this week. Yay, food! The candy in the upper right corner is actually something I made for the holidays (woohoo, sea salt cider caramels :D).
Song illustration! Wanted to do something neon-ish and violent (naturally) for Icona Pop's "I Love It."
I really dislike this saying. I also really like cake. COMBO TIME.
Yeesh, I've been drawing a lot of violent women.
Continuing the song illustrations with Black Silk Ribbon! (I also happened to watch the 1995 Madame Butterfly, and things started to mix together)
On another note, I'm not sure what's going on with Blogger's Lightbox gallery. Hopefully that can be resolved soon. (Edit: Woohoo, fixed! Thank goodness for simple coding.)
Hip-Hop dance series! I had a ton of fun working on these in between other projects :) I based these off of Tutting, Bone-Breaking, Krumping, Gliding, Waving, and B-Boying.
And B-Boying/Breaking brings me to the end of this little series!
Re-drew the "Damn These Vampires" piece! I like this one better (also, hurray for New Year's colors).
Krumping! I think I have one or two left in this series, it's been fun so far :D
Continuing with Gliding! No link until I find a suitable video, I don't feel like forcing it with another tutorial (Although, seriously? Go youtube "MJ," forrealz; I just wanted to find a different dancer/video).
With waving, I feel like I'm getting a little too deep into the basics of dance, since this is incorporated into so many more complex routines (hence the tutorial video). But, I love the effect, so let's roll with it.
Series continues with Bone-Breaking, which has to be the coolest name I've ever heard for a dance style.
Did a reboot of the old Imagine Dragon's lyric piece. I prefer this one, haha.
