Wala mi mag-expect tanan nga kuhaon na dayon siya from us... but her passing brought us together and was a great opportunity for to get to know my mother's small family. Daghan kaayong salamat sa tanan nga mingtabang. This was also the time nga nakaila ko sa among mga relatives...ug nakahibawo kung kinsa ang mga dili gyud makalimot. Gearing up for the month of August

  The month of August reminds me of a lot of things and people. And more than that, it is one of the busiest month of the year for us because of the province's founding anniversary celebration. We take full coverage of every activities inside and outside capitol. It's my third year to celebrate it and this year is a bit more different because we were tasked to put up a photo exhibit and a first time for all of us. Two weeks of facing the pc retrieving old photos and the burden of choosing the photos to submit. Above all this, i am excited to watch Pasigarbo sa Sugbo. Hope you guys will celebrate with us too.

Kinsan Festival 2010

Not my first time to witness Kinsan Festival but technically my first time to do a ceoverage... :) Aloguinsan got its name from an abundant fish called Kinsan. When Spaniards asked a woman bringing a head of Kinsan on what is the name of the place... Well, the usual story, the local didn't understand the question and replied saying 'Kinsan' thinking the foreigners were asking about the name of the fish. (Haaaay, I hope someone will come out with the REAL story about Aloguinsan's history.) Anyways, this was last June 13, held in front of the town hall. With the rest of the Sugbo guys, Yuri and dear friends Aldo & Elmer, we had our share of the kinsan soup and the festivities.

Industrial Tourism In Toledo City

A writing assignment took me and the rest of the Sugbo guys to the mining city of Cebu - Toledo City. Rain didn't stopped us from criss-crossing rigid paths, asphalted roads, steep slope, an hour cruise in a floating restaurant and a visit to Carmen Copper Corporation. Everything in two days!
