What if that was his original plan to just stay on the run with Leo forever, But then the police caught up to him and ruined everything. After he kills Vincent, Leo reads the letter out of curiosity

Leo shoves Vincent into the car, taking him hostage, he’s driving with the gun pointed at Vincent’s head. Vincent tries to plead with him to stop and Leo tells him to shut up. He’s driving so sporadically they keep hitting rails and stuff.
Finally, Vincent takes a breath and says, “I was going to keep running with you! If you let me, I’ll help you escape…I love you…"
And Leo turns to stare at him, shell-shocked, and then they run out of railing and the police car plunges off the highway and into a ravine
A/N: I know the Yule Ball isn’t something that happens during this time but I wanted to ask my boys out regardless. So we’re just gonna ignore that it doesn’t actually happen and pretend. yeah they interact in canon and there’s maybe a few scenes that i can see as being cool but they just don’t have the history that other kakashi ships do
