How many DoE realities are there?

About 26, I believe (which means I don't feel like counting them now). Besides those listed in the article, there are a couple of others called N1 and N2. I think that there was talk of an alternate Sailor Moon Defenders world, in which Hadea was never defeated. That didn't come about, but there's a world called Earth U, based on DOE Retold, in which Hadea was thwarted, but her changes to Earth were irreversible. Anyway, I'm glad that there are so many.

I think that AmandaDoE could do a nice job with a Blue Lagoon fanfic.

Jammin' Janet

It's been a wild seven days or so. To my surprise, a certain character has emerged as the most popular player in DoE fandom at the moment. I'm exchanging messages with people on DA who want to know more about Janet Elisonne. I've sent them the link to her database article, which offers extensive information and lets readers know about her creator and which stories she can be found in. I can honestly say that I never expected Janet's popularity to begin rivaling her daughter's.

As mentioned, the 'real-life' Janet is actress Maxim Roy, whose beauty has probably had some effect on all of the attention that the character is drawing.

DoE Sisters

I read a nice comment attached to this video recently. Someone was reminiscing about a TV tune that made her nostalgic.

"My sister and I would be in bed for the night and hear this come on. Both Mom and Dad were home and all was right in our world."

I haven't really focused on sisters much in my DoE writing--which might be a little odd, considering that my main image here features one of the Walker sisters with her unseen sibling.

I developed Rachel's bond with Jedda to some extent in Dynasties, and I devoted a chapter to the royal sisters of Mongo in This Is Their Side Story, but I never stuck with siblings for long in any tale, because the story just didn't call for it. Now I'm wondering if I might have found something fascinating to explore.

Anyway, I'm going to add the L.A. Law intro to my collection of bedtime tunes/podcasts.

A lovely look at the Elisonne family—Ian, Janet, and their daughter Tori. What I like is that this highlights the physical beauty and serenity of Janet, a fascinating character who, years prior, made mistakes that seemingly cost her everything. Yet here we see her in a moment of triumph, after she's worked hard to put the pieces back together on a professional level and on a personal one. It's remarkable that Janet's creator doesn't shy away from the fact that the character is flawed as a mother, as a wife, and as a leader. Instead, we see Janet overcome those flaws and excel—commanding the respect that she deserves along the way—while proving her dedication and her love in all of these roles.

Another touching family image. As most know, Tori (left) was raised by her aunt Dale and her uncle Flash alongside her cousins, April and Rick. In some dimensions, the five are separated around the time that Tori comes of age. But in this continuity, they remain together.

Superpowers aren't just for action and adventure. I absolutely love this image of Veena going out to enjoy herself in the rain. It's such a normal thing to do, yet she does it in her unique way. The theme in this image is the same one that's present in almost all Veena scenes. Chances are, a character who could fly would use their power for personal satisfaction on occasion, rather than simply using it in the middle of a mission.

An amazing recreation of a scene from the TV episode "The Golden Queen." What else is there to say? Hadea is drawn fabulously, and we wanted Jedda to look far worse than she appears in the original moment.

Mandrake and Hadea

Both are interested in fostering. You'd think that Hadea might have desired Mandrake more than the Phantom, or that she would have at least wanted Mandrake to serve her, considering that his illusions could have come in handy. It also helped that she could see what he looked like.

LJ and Krotan

I'd considered writing a piece on Rick and Krotan, but that would be way too easy. Everyone knows what they have in common, at least on the surface. LJ and Krotan are, at times, impulsive guys who simply don't hold back. They can also be brash with certain women in their lives. Just ask Kate and Zorelda.

Confused? Don't be. This is Jedda and LJ from Earth C, who probably have more of an open flirtation, as this Jedda is a far spunkier, bolder character than her counterparts on some other worlds.
