“You can’t touch us here,” he challenged, crossing his arms over his chest defensively. “And even when we get back home, you still won’t be able to do anything. Face it, Hook, you don’t know a single thing about us and you’ll never be able to beat us.”

“I can touch you wherever the hell I want to,” he protested, despite it being against the schools’ rules. “I know everything about you, I just don’t tell you what I know--I can’t help the enemy. Strategy, mate, strategy. Something you Lost Boys don’t get.”

"Ugh, it’s you," Thomas groaned, recognizing the man in front of him almost instantly. "Everywhere. Oh shut up, we’re plenty smart."

“More like ugh, it’s you,” Hook retorted with a smirk, the familiar face of his near sworn enemy making him cringe. “Sure you are. If you were smart, you would be back home planning to put up a fair fight when I get back.”

Thomas sighed, plopping himself down on the nearest piece of furniture and groaning. “Honestly, all I want is a juice box right now and I can’t even find one, i just want a goddamn juice box, man.”

“Sorry, mate, but I haven’t seen any precious juice boxes around here,” he shrugged, sitting himself beside the boy with smirk. “Where’ve you looked? Can’t say I thought you Lost Boys were all that smart, anyway.”

They better because now I want a real-ish beard to wear. So you don’t all have peg legs and eye-patches? I’m sorry they’ve plagued you but they’re kinda funny still. Yep,this is a weird and wonderful place.

I mean, some of us have beards. No, we don’t have eye patches--not unless we lose an eye, m’dear, and peg legs if we lose one, but that’s about it. Eh, it’s all the movie magic and such, can’t blame ‘em for wanting to take us on.

“When have I not given you a reason to be afraid?” he countered, brow arched. “Yeah, mate--taken us on and lost. Sorry to say, but I think I’ve got you figured out. ‘Course I’m not going to bite yet; I can’t give you a taste of anything I’ve got planned for when we get back home, yeah?”

“I have plenty of things I can do to you, mate, but a good pirate never reveals his secrets. How cute, that’s half the size of me crew, who’s sitting back home waiting for your return. You wish. If I was intimidated, I’d find another island to dock me ship at.”

"Yeah! We're better than you." Nibs squeaked, not used to having to deal with Hook without Peter and the other boys right beside him. "Well yeah, but that was just luck. You'll never be able to find him again."

“I highly doubt that. You tell ye’re little slingshots that, and see how well they work next time,” he sneered, almost satisfied with the boy’s tentative answer. “It’s not luck, mate, if it’ll happen again. Who’s to say it’s not going to? I’ve got my sources, the Redskins...I’ll have your little hideout figured out in no time, Lost Boy.”

“Oh, I do think it would be lovely to fly all the time.  I don’t think I would ever land again if I could.  I do suppose that even the closest of friends… or crew mates could get to be a little much at times.”

“Sure it is. I just wouldn’t know. Mhm, yeah, well, if you want help with that, you’ve got to find someone else to help you, but there’re plenty of those folk in Neverland. They sure can be, yeah. Don’t I know. They’re great, but downright stupid sometimes.”

“Well you shouldn’t, because—because we’re better than you.” not a very strong argument, nibs. c’mon now, he scares the bejesus out of you. “But—no. That’s not fair. Of course I doubt you—we’re hidden, Hook, you’ve never been able to find us.”

“You’re better than me?” Hook let out a deep laugh, almost unable to contain himself. The argument was even worse than one he could’ve come up with himself. “Fair, but true, mate. Accept it. I found you lot the first time, didn’t I? I’m the reason you moved in the first place.”

“Why should I tell you which room it was? Not that I’m owning up to it or anything; I just don’t believe in snitching or blabbing my mouth. And you’d be correct with that little hunch of yours — I’m indeed one of the pesky Lost Boys you love so much.”

“Because you should, mate. Bad things could happen if you don’t. Ah, yes, of course you are. There’s a growing bunch of you’s here, isn’t there? You’ve just got to get your leader on the island and it’ll be like home all over again.”

“I—shut up, we can still beat you.” he was assuring himself more than hook at this point, sneering. “No—Peter told us we’re never going to grow up. He wouldn’t lie to us. You’re always the twat here. You’re never gonna fine him.”

“I have my doubts about that, Lost Boy,” he scoffed with a shrug, letting out a chuckle at the boy’s mock confidence. “Only on Neverland, mate. Do yer research, will you? Of course I am--I’ve got a map and everything. I’ll pinpoint your little hiding spot in no time. You doubt me?”

“Maybe it was, maybe it wasn’t. Unless you’ve got solid proof that I was the one who did it, I’m not cleaning any of it. Looks like you better get back to fixing up your room, Hook-y.”

“What room was it you cleaned, and which house was it in? That’s my evidence. Hook-y? Do I--you’re familiar. Only a missing young lad would call me that. A...Lost Boy, perhaps?”

“If a sixth year comes by asking for the guy who messed with his dorm room, let him know that I had nothing to do with it. If he specifically asks for me, I mean. If he doesn’t, just act like we never had this conversation.”
