Sirius couldn’t wipe the smile off his face. He sat proudly, the picture of ease against the sleek black motorbike - legs crossed as he leaned on the seat, helmet dangling from the handlebars as he waited for his best friend. It was a rather busy part of the London street, not far from where most of the commuters for the Ministry exited, and he knew it wouldn’t be too long before James was among them. It was a bit silly, really - he hadn’t needed to save up, he could have easily exchanged some of his many galleons into muggle currency and bought the thing - but this felt so much better. He’d worked odd jobs in the muggle world on and off for the better part of a year and a half, and knowing his family had no part whatsoever in the motorcycle was a satisfaction Sirius had never quite felt before.
So of course, James was the first person he wanted to show. He’d gone a little overboard (a surprise to no one) and also bought himself a new leather jacket and some aviator sunglasses to really complete the look, but he couldn’t keep the menacing sneer on his face once he caught sight of his friend, and the goofy, more characteristic grin overtook his features as he raised his voice. “Oi! You there, with the glasses!”

The overcast grey sky that had seemed to hover over the Ministry the past week had been enough to get him in a mundane routine while at work. He loved his life now, having Lily to see every night. Talking to his best mates every chance he could, aside from the tense chill in the air from their world darkening around them James personally hadn’t been happier.
Which was why he was suddenly relieved when the sun had broke through the sky as he finished up his cases, well at least found a spot to stop and tucked information that the Order would find valuable in his briefcase before he walked out only to have a smile brighten his entire soul seeing hearing his best friend’s call him out of the crowd. “You right bastard.” He teased as he whistled looking over at him. “That vibe fucking fits you.” He calls out, while whistling as he walks over towards him arms ready to embrace him. https://img.nickpic.host/6nZSXP.jpg
“When am I *not* jealous of you?” He asks with a grin. he *was* jealous, but James couldn’t deny just how happy he was for him. Since the moment the two of them bonded he had wanted nothing but his best friend to be happy. Times were hard, dark right now especially for Sirius and to see even the slightest bit of a smile on his face had him grinning from ear to ear.
“You know the way to my heart.” His fingers over dramatically clasping over his chest as if he’d fallen head over heels for the man as he walked around it taking it in every angle.
“Poor bastard didn’t stand a chance.” He smirked and watched him looking at his new baby. Just one look at her, and it was obvious Sirius had outdone himself. The bike really was gorgeous. From the handlebars to the rear tire and every beautiful fender and light in between. And while this specifically fit Sirius’s vibe he couldn’t help but agree with him that *everything* fit his vibe.
“You’re full of it.” He teases, playfully shoving him but watched him amused as he takes in every angle of his bike and there’s nothing stopping James when he teases. “Oi, would you two like a minute alone? Starting to feel like I should pay for the private room.”
But even with his teasing he walks over to him and clasps his shoulder, all teasing aside. He could picture Remy warning Sirius how terrible of an idea this was. But James didn’t care, the look on Sirius face the energy radiating off of him was intoxicating and there wasn’t anything James was going to do to ruin that. Not after everything Sirius has been through. “Mate, I love it. She’s beautiful, and I haven’t seen you smile this much since we lit off firecrackers in Snape’s favorite spot in the library.” He grinned, chuckling at the memory.
