Everything takes practice. And they probably just had high expectations because of your dad, but film skills aren’t inherited. They’re taught and learned.

[laughs nervously] Yeah, but you'd think I'd have an eye for plots..

I vaguely remember your dad mentioning you were into making films too. Is that not a good and useful hobby?

[jamesulley]

I probably wouldn't be big in the the world, though. I didn't tell my dad this, but the first times try people were pretty disappointed in my work.

Pearl got mad at me because I messed up the dates on when we were supposed to hang out, and how I never make time for her when she’s the one who is only available for thirty minutes every ten years. And then Morph— I don’t know what happened with Morph… He just kinda stopped talking to me, and didn’t show up when we made plans, and he’s ignoring my calls, and he won’t answer the door when I go to his room.

Pearl.. that's a dumb reason to ignore you. Maybe Morph just needs to clear his mind. Aren't you dating Mister 420?

[stops and stares at him for a moment before going back to whatever she was doing] Yeah.
