This is the moment where either my follower count drops to zero, or it becomes the most popular thing I've ever written. For all of you who usually enjoy my stories and are thinking "wtf accio", well, my pals are super important to me, and @jamezbot is poorly and needs cheering up.

Even though today has been beautiful, tonight is dark and gloomy. A strong breeze rustles the leaves around the Forest, putting Ron on edge. He hates being out here, and if heās caught heāll be in a fuck ton of trouble. But when he received Hagridās note earlier, Ron knew he had to come.
Surely, with a professorās permission, heās allowed to be here alone after curfew, right?
He hopes nobody is missing him. Ron couldnāt even tell his friends where he was going, because theyād have a million questions. But if he were to die out hereā¦
Aragog is ill, come quick. Ronās heart pounds as he recalls the spindly scrawl. Sure he hates spiders, and theyād still be his boggart. Yet the leader of clutter is different. Ever since their first meeting, Ron has known that. Maybe it was the way his hairy legs pressed against Ron or Hagridās helpful guiding hands.
Gulping down the anxiety threatening to consume all of him like a Dementorās kiss, Ron speeds up, stumbling over tree roots, and slipping on moss-covered stones. Why did Hagrid have to suggest this meeting point, the one furthest away from the school? Ron is quick, but with all the terrors of the forest pressing in on him, one wrong move could finish his life.
He lifts his wand higher as he skirts around Grawpās lair, not wanting to disturb the giant tonight. Thereās no way heād be able to enjoy his evening with Hagridās brother watching. Ron might as well have invited Ginny and all his brothers, too. Maybe Hermione could give him a grade at the end of it all?
A smile creeps over Ronās face. No, he canāt let the news slip, because heād have to admit the guilty pleasure heās been seeking out when everything else has been so dark and gloomy recently. And heās pretty sure if everyone at the school discovers their secret, someone will try and put a stop to it. Probably Hermione. She always has something to say about who heās seeing nowadays.
His lungs burning, Ron reaches the clearing, relief flooding over him as his eyes settle on Hagrid and Aragog. The creature lifts a limb in greeting, and Ron exhales the hard breath he didnāt even know heād been holding. Aragog must be okay if he still has the energy to wave.
Hagrid turns and flashes Ron a massive grin, sending shivers up the teenagerās arms and igniting his skin. It's a secret glance, intended only for a few people, present company included.
āThank Merlin you came,ā Hagrid says in his thick west-country accent. āIām not sure how long we haveā¦ā
āI shouldnāt be out for long, anyway. Itās well past curfew,ā Ron interrupts, not wanting to consider what might be wrong with his companion. The world is too hard as it is, without worrying about the end of what they have.
An ice salamander creeps over his heart, but he pushes it away. If the depression consumes him, well, he might as well go back to the castle. Their time together is limited, and he wants to make the most of it without being fucking miserable. With one last glance around the clearing, checking nobody has followed, Ron extinguishes the light from his wand and steps further towards his companions.
Thereāll be no need for Lumos when their passion lights up the forest.

It seemed the best way to spend the day together before the Hogsmeade day ā not weekend, much to Harryās disappointmentā reached its untimely conclusion. He had to cancel the upstairs room he rented for them, too, which heās still not chuffed about, and not just because theyād definitely have shagged.
Because with Ginny, Itās more than just physical. Itās always been more than just physical. He misses herā¦ deeply, hollowly misses her. Itās a constant ache in the pit of his stomach, like thereās always part of him thatās somewhere else. They had to settle for a heated snog behind the Three Broomsticks before heading in to escape the cold, but that hadnāt been enough. For either of them.
Of course, on the surface he pretended to understand the sudden change of events. Itās a particularly cold February, so cold that McGonagall was close to canceling the Hogsmeade visit altogether. According to Ginny, she only settled for an early dismissal instead when the student body threatened to mutiny. So Ginnyās due back at 6 now, which truly is shit, but anything is better than not seeing her at all.
As we head into our final week, I just want to give a huge shout out to everyone who has helped make this fest so successful! Every single story has been amazing, and we are so thankful to be able to spread HP Canon love into the fandom and promote so many wonderful, wonderful creators!
