Sometimes the darkest nights give rise to the brightest mornings.

Let me tell you this: if you meet a loner, no matter what they tell you, it’s not because they enjoy solitude. It’s because they have tried to blend into the world before, and people continue to disappoint them.
Jodi Picoult, My Sister’s Keeper (via sentencesthatmatter)
“Eventually, the two of us will move on, or find someone new. And even when we both get over the past, and try and remain friends, things will never be the same. Our lives will continue on in different directions toward the inevitable end, becoming strangers again. And everything we shared will just become fragmented memories. From so long ago. I’ll question if it even really happened. And all that will be left, is this… A box of random stuff from a faded period of time, when this stranger was the most important person in my life. What a shame.”

INFJ Confession #946
I have a tendency to obsess over one person at a time, discarding everything else in the process. I don’t actively seek out new friends or romantic partners because I find most people very dull, but when someone special comes along that is passionate and deeply interesting they become all that I see.
INFJ Confession
As an INFJ, I often need time to be alone. Whenever I manage to get some free time, I sit in the dark and think. I just feel better in dark spaces, it makes me feel comfortable.
INFJ Confession
Sometimes I just wanna die. Not like dead as in dead and rotting, because I have so many more things I wanna try and do. It’s more like the “I need to hide/get away” from everyone and everything for a while, at least until I feel less overwhelmed with things, and people. It just gets so tiring.
INFJ Confession
I hate that I’m too open with the few amount of people I’m open with. It sucks because I don’t easily express my emotions on the regular as an INFJ, and definitely not with just anyone. When I find someone who gets me (which is rare) I get too excited and overdo it. I get too attached or I unload too much on that person. It is so hard for INFJ’s to find souls we are comfortable with, much less, comfortable exposing our thoughts and feelings with. When I do, I have a tendency to say too much.
I find that I am too genuine and honest to a fault, I have no filter once I am comfortable expressing myself with you. My closest friend right now is an ENTP and our friendship borders on soul mates. But I hate the feeling I get after burdening too much of my inner thoughts and personal feelings even on just one person. They always seem safer inside my head. It is good and healthy to express yourself once in a while, by talking with someone. In fact it is essential for the growth and mental health of the INFJ as we naturally gravitate towards internalizing everything. But even so. Not everything is meant to be shared. Even with the few we do choose to share with.
INFJ Confession
I spend most of my life in fantasy. It’s so hard not to retreat into this whole other world inside my head at every spare moment. I obsess. I picture endless scenarios. I hide away where nobody can touch me and dream about LETTING someone touch me. Sometimes, all I want is for the universe to send someone to take care of me, because I’m tired of always taking care of everyone else.
INFJ Confession
How to have a successful relationship or friendship with an INFJ: Be reasonable, be rational, be in control of your emotions, willing to talk about what is bothering you, tell us your darkest sides, let us show you our darkest sides without you running away, remind us to refocus on ourselves when we get too caught up with others, be okay with quiet, accept we wont want to talk be with you every day, and be a positive part in our life not another person we have to hold your hand and babysit.
INFJ Confession
one of the biggest INFJ fear is not finding someone who will love them as much as they love that person. INFJs feel things a lot deeper than most other types. and its not really a benefit.
My mind is a dark place.
I’m not going to waste the chance of getting to know you. So I’m going to be better for you. And hopefully I can give you back some small part of what you’ve given me.
