The iconic originaltommys Burgers is best known for its unique chili recipe. My favorite is the chili burger and chili cheese fries. This is the original location at Beverly and Rampart in Los Angeles.

Nothing exotic or foreign today. Just a classic and deliciously fulfilling McDonald's breakfast. Takes me back to my childhood when my grandma would allow me to skip class on rainy days and we'd head over for McDonald's breakfast instead.

Thai House Express in Monterey Park has been my favorite place for boba since I had my first taro milk tea in 2005 when I was still attending. East L.A. College across the street. This place has gone through a lot of changes in decor and some in staff over the years, yet it remains my number one choice. It's a bit out of the way now so I don't go every day as I used to, but sometimes when I'm in the area I make it a point to drop by for one of my favorites, which include jasmine milk tea and taro milk tea.... of course, with boba!

Sultan Chicken in Downtown Los Angeles, known for their whole rotisserie chicken specials, also serves a wide variety of Mediterranean dishes. One of my favorites is this one pictures above, the falafel plate with hummus, pita and tahini.

I had this delicious vegetarian sandwich at an Argentinian restaurant in Pasadena. Made with grilled zucchini & eggplant, yellow squash & peppers, feta cheese; I also asked for a side of typically Argentinian chimichurri sauce in which to dip my fries and pieces of bread, to make it a complete authentic meal!

Veal Parmigiana with ravioli. Served at Andre’s Italian Restaurant, a quaint and rustic cafeteria-style Italian restaurant snuggled in between Whole Foods and Kmart, across the street from The Grove on 3rd and Fairfax.

Can’t get over this burger-- it’s huuuge and everything a burger ought to be! If you’re wondering where you can enjoy such decadence, this is the brewhouse double deluxe burger at BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse in Newport Beach. This burger has it all! Two angus burger patties, crispy applewood smoked bacon, fried onion strings, cheddar and swiss cheese, tomato, lettuce and pickles.

Spicy shrimp inari is my favorite item from the menu at Kikka Sushi, which I first discovered at the calstatela food court, and which I later found at an underground food court across the street from the Central Library in Downtown Los Angeles. It doesn’t happen often, but whenever I have the time and opportunity to make a stop at either location, I indulge! 

This delicious meal consists of rice neatly wrapped in inari, and topped with shrimp, green onions, sesame seeds, and a decadent mix of sriracha and mayonnaise. Of course, later topped with ginger and wasabi au goût. Dōzo omeshiagarikudasai!
