Today I saw certain (I hope younger) fandom members doing a thing on twitter where they called out fandom-famous fics and saying how bad they are.

And, no. We don't do that. We aren't rude to each other like that. If we don't like a fic we move on and find one we do like. We do not go slagging it off on twitter to make ourselves look cool.

Authors, artists, video editors, gif makers: all of these people give huge amounts of their time to provide you with content for free. They don't owe anyone anything, and being cruel about what anyone makes is below us as a fandom.

She’s written hundreds of fics over the years and I hate when she’s told she’s a horrible writer etc. She’s doing all this for free, shut up and fuck off if you don’t like her stuff. I know she’s a controversial character and I am just a sucker for a very unlikeable character as well as a very loved one. Torchwood fanfic writers never fail on this front

Gwen has a dual nature, the cheating, retconning Rhys and throwing herself at Jack side AND the BFFs with Ianto and Jack is family side. They can both be explored. And if it’s an AU even more so. Who knows what the differences would be? All valid.

Meanwhile, I love it’s shitty quality, low budget and weird camera and couldn’t make it through Miracle Day because to me the Americanization ruined it. The plot was boring IMO, and why the hell did anyone think having a pedo be worshipped was a good idea?

I tried to like it, I really did, but my American ass loves British stuff for a reason. Give me back my campy monster of the week show (and Ianto, obviously).

I did love when Gwen punched the bitch who called her English, that was great.

And Gwen shooting the helicopter down while holding Anwen (the earmuffs made it perfect).

BTW, I have no issue with Miracle Day lovers, to each their own.
