Pokemon AU -- hell yeah

The Alola Vulpix given to him by his mother & Growlithe from his father -- won’t take much to know which one had his most affection at first. It takes a long time before he comes into terms with his Growlithe, to repent for taking out his strong hatred for his father on him. ( Also I bet Endeavor would be salty af at not being part of the Elite Four or he is able to too for other reasons & not because he was actually sought out for ).  He’d take in a Torchic during his journey & later on through training so generously given by Iida & his family, is able to raise his Blaziken into its Mega Form. Though unlike his father, he isn’t rushing headfirst to be one of the best & instead is taking it step by step. One of his ambitions definitely is to be the best of the best ---!

               ❝ todoroki-kun—-! ❞ he’s so—- so direct—-! he cannot help but turn a smidgen roseate ; of course, he presumed that the other hadn’t meant to be cruel or cold. he’s simply not the type to act out embellishments nor ‘ fluff ’ up his words as to cushion a sudden descent. still, it shocked him. she was a rather attractive young lady, older than them—- but then again some young men were attracted to a wiser, more experienced women. n-not that he was one of them—-! oh, please—- he kept on digging this metaphorical hole deeper. at least he wasn’t as loose-lipped as to vocalize it aloud ; instead, his mouth partitioned a split second & then slammed shut. pressed into a thin line as his digits twisted across a fork that held some of the strawberry shortcake. just shoving that into his unhinged mouth should’ve shut him up long enough to think of another topic to pursue, one that is hopefully a bit more appropriate—-.

               ❝ oh, um—-! ❞ yes, not the best topic. but he is glad they’re no longer attempting to feed one another like a couple on some midday drama. he took a sip of the lukewarm latte ( this is what happens whenever he gets successfully distracted or sidetracked ) as his shoulders descended. ❝ i still have numbness in my left hand. but i’ve regained some mobility—- enough to where it won’t be a hinderance. ❞ of course, it’ll never be the same without surgery. but he’s kept to his prior promise: no surgery until he can stand on the same sacred grounds as todoroki, midoriya & his elder brother. there’s a small fleck of a gentle smile shining into the bottom of his coffee cup—- soon, he had hoped. there’s a lot that the ‘ reborn ’ ingenium felt that he needed to ‘ make up ’ for—- specifically when it came to todoroki & midoriya’s valiant efforts.                ❝ huh—-? ❞ caught off-guard ( for the second time—-! ) those sanguine eyes hidden behind a pair of thin-framed glasses blinked. ‘ good taste, ’ his close friend said. such a vague comment—- it would’ve helped immensely to attempt to give some manner of inkling as to the implied topic or subject of the sentence—-! the class president’s shoulders tensed up once more. ❝ y-you do as well—–! you always look so attractive & have such an avant-garde style—-! ❞ they were talking about fashion, right—- please say it was about fashion—-?

   What use was it to beat around the bush? Raised by a parent who didn’t waste time by sugarcoating though Todoroki is utmost fortunate, he’s immensely more tactful than his own father. In certain ways ---. Sullen thoughts never stood a chance to linger, especially with the adorable display of the bespectacled student seated before him & making all sorts of expressions --- seems like various thoughts were spinning in his head. Still on the plateau of getting to know one another better, he admittedly had yet to accurately read his thoughts & instead inquired, ❝Is she--- your type?❞ Once more, direct but….he’s curious.

  As he is about Iida’s condition ever since the fateful incident that has begun to knit them together alongside their classmate. The comfort of the café blankets them, the natural want to take their time & simply talk without interference. Concern, but also relief eased upon his scarred features to hear that mobility is recovered. Less & less he felt like he has the curse of a ‘handcrusher’ though it was a dry joke at first --. ❝I’m glad…that you’re getting better,❞ as he sincerely does wish for Iida’s improvement, not just with the therapy but as a hero. Rivals they are, but also comrades who respect & admire one another. ❝For how long is your therapy?❞

  Though it seems even beyond a potential hero, there are parts of Todoroki admired by the class president. ❝---you think I’m attractive?❞ asking in wonder, as while others’ comments of such had no effect on him, to hear from Iida incurred this warm fluttering sensation to hue across his cheeks. That he’s happy to hear that from him. As he never really thought much of his own clothing style, but as this direction has come upon their table. Slight bashfulness seen, not often revealed to others as he lowered his gaze, prodding the scrumptious cake with his fork, ❝I was talking about the cake, but---you’re attractive too…❞ softened voice, but merely shy about it. He means it & honestly anyone would be a fool not to notice.

  It’s not like it’s a desperately kept secret when it concerned Todoroki’s relationship with his dad; quite evident with how coldly he treats him in public. Sometimes, to deliver some measure of satisfaction that the public can see how he intended to excel with his own strength. However--- to catch him offguard was that exact statement ( not so much as to who said it  ). Already had he separated from their classmate when suddenly confronted by this ball of issues himself.

  ❝You know, you should be focusing on your own issues,❞ there, he said it --- but he’s never been pegged to beat around the bush either when it came this own opinions. He wasn’t irked by the blatant comment, hardly affected as seen with his calm composure. ❝Though I suppose, you two would probably get along.❞

    Nonchalant rub against the tip of his nose, apathetic towards the possibility of a cold, though he indulged in the perfect season to cozy it up at the kotatsu table. More favor in the heater’s warmth than his own quirk can conduct. Occasional sniffing sounds as magazine pages are idly flipped with a pot & cup of hot tea by his side.
