You can make these Green Smoothie Protein Shakes ahead of time and freeze them for a quick and healthy breakfast or snack after a workout. Because they have spinach, bananas, berries, Greek yogurt, and protein powder in them, they are full of nutrients and protein that will keep you going all day.
Ingredients: 2 cups of spinach leaves. 2 ripe bananas. 1 cup of frozen mixed berries. 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt. 2 scoops of protein powder. 1 cup of almond milk. 2 tablespoons of honey optional. 1/2 cup of ice cubes.
Instructions: Wash and rinse the spinach leaves thoroughly. Peel and slice the ripe bananas. In a blender, combine the spinach, bananas, frozen mixed berries, Greek yogurt, protein powder, almond milk, and honey if using. Blend until smooth and creamy. Add the ice cubes and blend again until the smoothie is well chilled and thick. Divide the smoothie into individual portions and pour them into freezer-safe containers or resealable bags. Seal the containers or bags tightly and store them in the freezer. To enjoy, simply take a frozen portion out of the freezer, let it thaw slightly for a few minutes, and then blend it again for a fresh and creamy green smoothie protein shake. You can also add more almond milk if you prefer a thinner consistency.
