Technology for a cohesive user experience
Update: Added hardware section to Beagle project.
The design of the hardware is inspired by mid-century modern, with materials primarily wood, metal, and glass. Privacy and repairability were major factors in the design.

Spekr improvements
I just completed some improvements to Spekr, the political spectrum quiz:
• Merged Marxism and socialism • Moved national socialism, fascism, and corporatism to the left • Added state capitalism • Added chart to each guide page • Added more details to each guide page
If you notice any mistakes, please let me know.
Bug fix
A bug on Spekr that was preventing users from viewing the results of the quiz has been fixed.
Mystery spike in views
Last month saw a massive spike in visits to my website, mainly to Spekr. Still getting high numbers now. No idea what caused it. The custom analytics I created for the site does not track where visits come from as I respect user privacy. Anyone know what caused the spike?
Simulating political control of society
Govnr has now launched on the JarickWorks website. Govnr is a simple political text-based game that attempts to accurately simulate the role of a political leader. Give it a try. I welcome feedback and bug reports.
Another website optimisation
Just completed another optimisation of the JarickWorks website. Search and random images in sidebar now load much faster. Instead of running the function on every page load (which is no longer efficient), it now runs once daily, with data from the function stored in SQLite.
Made some performance optimisations to the JarickWorks website. Pages and search should load faster now.
Drafting the Darwin user interface
Started rolling out Beagle, a draft of a GUI for Darwin (but also for any OS, really).
I will be doing a write up explaining how I think things would work, should have that done after all the graphics are online.

Beagle is going to be delayed because Anaarkei took longer than I thought it would. Might not have anything ready for at least a month.

Website update
The rebranded JarickWorks website is now live. Spekr and Freeblr are available (https://jarick.works). Anaarkei and Beagle should be ready by the end of January. I plan to have Govnr ready by mid 2025. The remaining projects, Redrawn and Eidolon, will likely not be done until 2026 at the earliest. Some features are not available at the moment. Languages and some donation options are disabled. Downloads for completed projects will be made available early to mid 2025.
