I love Stede and what they gave his character in Season 2. I love that even he is not free of toxic masculinity but can choose who and what he wants to be - and can make the right choice, in the end. I love Rhys's performance and how he gets so much complexity into the character, in a limited space.

I think folks who don’t like or appreciate his arc fail to understand him.

I need an Edlzzy Divorce Court AU. They remind me of this gay couple that made repeated appearances on the show during the Toler era because they had broken up and gotten back together multiple times and were constantly yelling over each other in the courtroom. But instead of the usual problems these couples had, Ed and Izzy arguing over stuff that make the judge as well as the audience progressively more horrified especially with how casual they talk about it as if promising to murder Ed's new boyfriend or Ed mutilating Izzy is something that's just a "marital spat."
