This is the Sailaway mini-Transat...
This is Sailaway’s original 38′ cruiser.
Cruising around Pentecost Island. Friday, 12 May 2017
Anchorage at Dent Island in the Whitsundays. Friday 12 May 2017.
This is a picture of Eon, Seth and me, as we set off on our Sailaway adventure. Sunday, 7 May 2017.
You can find Sailaway for sale as an early access program on Steam.
Eon, Seth and I are exploring the world using a program called Sailaway, in addition to our sailing in Second Life. I’m going to post pictures of our ‘real life’ adventures sailing the oceans of planet Earth, in full scale and in real time. This is a picture of one of the boats we are using, the Caribbean Rose, a 52′ cruiser, taken my home waters as we set out on our cruise north along the east coast of Australia.
Seth and me, out for a sail in our Bandit B25s, near Second Norway. 17 April 2017
Sailing with Seth in his new Trudeau 12 Metre, Fruit Islands. 2 April 2017
Carlo Riva, you will be missed
A new Trudeau boat is always a reason to celebrate ... and at last a new one is coming in April. It is a beautiful yawl and looks ideal for relaxed cruising. Of course, I can't wait and am already saving my pennies.
Seth and I went to look at the new Trudeau yawl (coming soon), and we got to talking about sails... and wings... so of course we ended up in my AC62 doing speed runs up and down the Blake Sea channel. It was a hoot.
Bhakti and I went sailing in the big cat, and he took these great photos as we were motoring back into Second Norway.
Back in familiar waters...
Sunday, 19 March 2017. Eon and I went for a short cruise in my new Ocean Beach catamaran from The Mesh Shop. As you can tell from the first two pictures, no-one was paying much attention to navigation, but we ended up at a nice little anchorage at Blake Sea - Kraken, away from the crowds at Siren’s Isle.
The boat cannot be said to be a thing of beauty, but it handles well enough even it is is not exciting. It does make for a good cruiser and turns any destination into a fun place to spend with your friends; or your significant other!
Journey’s end. Tristan da Cunha.
Giant seas... good winds.
