Awhile ago i posted a photo of Voss and Richthofen together but while searching for pictures of Voss i stumbled upon this on a German website. It appears this is the original and the other one was a cropped version so enjoy this great quality photo :) The Women in the Background are from Werner’s sisters.

I’ve always loved reading and studying WW1 pilots. Sense I was 4 I was inspired to learn about the German aces and their squad mates. I especially enjoy Jasta Beolke. Not only did it cater the first historical leaders in aviation tactics but it also had some really creative pilots. Like Fritz Kempf who never was an ace with 4 victories to his name. However his Dr1 is probably the second most famous only second to the Red Baron’s.
