Okay so, I have a mod that adds more legion spawns to the game and I find this on my way to the fort:

It looks like he’s just being surrounded by a bunch of teenagers due to him being taller than all of them lol(which is probably at least somewhat accurate considering they were all recruits)

OKAY OKAY BUT LIKE HEAR ME OUT SURE VULPISS AND JOSHUA ARE LIKE SUPER DUPER COOL AND ALL WHEN WE'RE TALKING ABOUT LEGION AFFILIATES BUT LIKE LANIUS SHOULD SORTA BE UP THERE TOO!! LIKE?? dude he may be like this 8 foot tall mf who's like known to be brutal and just like a killing machine (see 'Monster/Terror of the East' , 'Caesar's Hammer' , etc.) but bro there's a reason he's like a myth and the Legate. all of his conquering and killing does play a role in that but he isn't just that. he's loyal, calculating, ruthless, eloquent and just,, he's the perfect man for his position. lanius is more than ready to wipe out any enemy to the Legion yet you can get him to surrender with a speech check; which is essentially him not overestimating his and the Legion's abilities to hold both the East + the West. and he was like such a good sport about it too, all "yeah ill get my army up and see you next war <3". he's not just all the blood of the tribes he's conquered and the enemies he's slain in the name of Caesar. he's both the sagacity that Vulpes has and the brutality that Joshua had in his Legate days.

so yeah, i just think he's neat and kinda unfair to reduce him to like a brute
