JOE BUDDEN rose to stardom in 2003 when he released his debut, self titled hip hop album. that same year, joe’s runaway hit single, PUMP IT UP was nominated for a grammy award and was also included as one of the lead tracks on the chart topping “fast and furious 2″ soundtrack.
so, joe came out the gate swinging. he’s a bonafide rapper stemming from harlem, new york and uses his music as well as his radio/podcast personality to create a substantial life for his two children.
after bumping heads with his def jam label as he created and prepared to release his sophomore project in 2006/2007, joe began releasing more independent music under the amalgam digital imprint.
the success of these fairly independent distributions contributed to joe partnering with crooked l, royce da 5′9 and joell ortiz to form the controversial rap group, SLAUGHTERHOUSE.
joe has been around since the turn of the millennium, but the majority of this current generation only knows him via the LOVE & HIP HOP franchise.
he has become a staple amongst the melodramatic vh1 series.
to up the ante on his notoriety, joe budden “leaked” a dick pic that quite honestly disappointed a lot of his fans who expected some type of monster between his legs. however, for those of us living in a realistic world, the leak was just enough to maintain fan interest.
