A quick compilation of Henry's pep talks to Hans. I love how Hans is vulnerable enough to tell Henry his insecurities and Henry is always there to reassure him.

It's why they work as a couple so much - they literally make each other stronger. Hans has never had anyone in his corner like Henry, who is so earnest and open and genuinely has full faith in him. And Henry has someone to fight for, believe in, after losing everything in Skalitz.

Just.... sigh. Them.

Hansry fic idea:

Henry travels with Radzig to Kuttenberg in 1416 and gets caught in the middle of the miners’ riot where he watches yet another father die.

While Radzig is brutally killed, Henry is grievously wounded and on the brink of death. At the last minute, he is saved by the miners who he helped in KCD2 (Foreman Vlach, Anton), who recognise him and step in to stop the killing blow. They then drop him off at the Kingfisher, where Betty and her girls nurse him back to life. He’s healing, but he has amnesia. Magdalena and Standa take him back to the forge, where muscle memory kicks in - Henry is a blacksmith. But he doesn’t remember anything else, not even the death of his parents, although Magdalena fills in the blanks.

The problem is, she didn’t know about Hans. And in her old age, can barely recall the name of the Lord Henry never shut up about. In the back of his head, in his heart, Henry knows something is missing. Someone. It’s agony. He just doesn’t know why.

The news of the deaths gets back to Rattay, and Hans is mad with grief when he hears Henry died. He never recovers, lives drunk and idle and constantly in mourning. Heinrich becomes his soul reason to live.

And years later, finally ready to visit the spot his beloved died, Hans coincidentally walks by a forge with a bouquet of poppy and knotweed in his hand. And then he hears a very distinctive whistle is cutting through the air.

Replaying the first game, I need to see an interaction between Hans, Matthew and Fritz, especially when Hans and Henry are a thing.

Like, it could go in so many ways.

Matthew and Fritz could try and hit up Hans for money and his connections, via Henry. Hans would be desperate to show off and treat them to impress Henry, being such a lonely kid who never had friends so surely Henry would have great ones, right? And then there’s Henry, who never felt like more of a stupid peasant next to them, so undeserving of Hans’ attention, and pissed and protective that they’re trying to take advantage of his boy.

Or, it could end in a giant drunken brawl at the tavern because Hans is a snooty, biting little shit and Fritz and Matthew are dummies who could pick a fight with their own shadows.

I just love the thought of the dynamic, Henry’s old world and his new one colliding. Two people he has outgrown meeting the one person who changed his life and means everything.

Just…please tell me someone has a fic?

I LOVE THIS SCENE, one of my favourites in KCD1, where the boys talk about their fathers. It's so easily missable during 'The Prey' but it's amazing.

This is so early in Hansry's history but they're already so open with each other. Henry's so hurt, screaming at Hans and Hans floundering and shouting back, showing depth we didn't know he has.

It's just... brilliant.

I just got my Raven Krabat and oh my god, he repeats everything he hears. Imagine the impression he does of Hans in bed, screeching and making whimpering sex noises like a lunatic. When Sam comes to visit, Krabat will be making those noises in an almost perfect impression and Sam will just stare at Henry knowingly, especially when the pet names and kinky talk starts happening.
