We often live our lives in constant anxiety, borne from externalities beyond our control. People's opinions of us seep into our hearts and become our opinions of ourselves. Life starts when you realize that you owe the world nothing. You owe yourself everything.

When your parents get a Divorce

The argument seemed to come to a sudden halt at my entrance, comparable to the sudden halt of 2 competing taxis at the whiff of a potential addition to their empty cars. I was the traveler, and both my parents’ eyes seemed to ask me to pick a side.
