@nightmarechildwrites - Leo & Thomas
Midnight snacks were nothing new to the English prince, to the point where the kitchen staff had long since stopped bothering to argue with him about it- he was used to being the only one rifling through cupboards in the middle of the night, though sometimes Mia was at his side. Before Mia’s kidnapping, Thomas never had any issues sleeping, and though his anxiety had subsuded with her safe return, the insomnia hadn’t. So on this particular night, it was already after midnight when he let himself into the kitchen, earbuds in his ears, singing under his breath as he picked through a pantry shelf. He was debating between pretzels or popcorn when he caught a movement out of the corner of his eye, and he whirled around just in time to see the kitchen door swing shut.
A traitorous flush crept up the prince’s face, realizing who’d walked in- Leo, as annoyingly tall and disarmingly handsome as he’d been the day they’d first met years ago. Hurriedly, Thomas ripped out his earbuds, standing up straight and trying to look as dignified as he could in his Union Jack printed pajama pants that his parents had sent him at Christmas. “We aren’t supposed to be in here, you know,” he said, tone clipped.
