My last talk of the year with DOST! Thank you to all my clients - we did over 200 talks this year! To all my clients who… have become dear friends. laughed so hard, cried their hearts out, shared victories, and expressed growing pains 🤩 shared the topic with me one day before the event 😅 were so confident in me that they didn’t even bother to check my talk and outline. were so meticulous that they checked everything. moved my slot hours earlier or much later than my speaking time 😁 managers who spoke to each other for the first time during my session after years of conflict ☺️ saw their leader cry for the first time after more than a decade together 😭 To clients who got me more than 15 times to speak to the same audience. 🙏 To clients who got me over 50 times to speak to their organization 🙏🙏 To clients with generous words or constructive feedback 💪 To clients who shared how life changing my talk was to them 🙌 I am deeply humbled to be able to do what I do because of you. One of the most important financial advice came from my conservative parents. They would always tell me to prepare for bad days in business because it won’t always be good days. I never listened to them. I thought hard work and smart work will always make you money. I reinvested and reinvested in my business without any cushion. Little did I realize that they had predicted what would happen to me in the future. A study showed that 78% of people will have a negative financial event in the next 10 years. 8/10 of us. I overextended myself. I wasn’t ready for a negative financial event. I was so busy running my business in a sunny day that I forgot to bring an umbrella in case it rained. The umbrella I’m talking about is Savings. Save! Save! Save! In sunny days, expect stormy days so you won’t get wet.
